Same for me, I watched both shows as a kid (and still do today ) and even then I understood Star Trek was the "serious" show and Lost In Space was the "funny" show. But I liked Spock's "Most illogical" and McCoy's "I'm a doctor, not a (whatever)" as much as the Robot's "Danger, danger, Will Robinson!" and Dr. Smith's "Silence, you bubble-headed booby!"
