Default "Social justice warriors" in media portrayal

. . a while ago I did this thread in the media criticism section https://vnnforum.com/showthread.php?t=553614 , about the state glorified in media . .

Just for the sake of completion I'll post this about 'social justice warriors' in media ( 'Social justice warriors' not in the sense it is commonly used in our movement but rather the opposite of 'state-servants' . .)

- - -

Two certainly come to mind . .

'Robin Hood' and 'The Zorro' . .

( Robin Hood is even said to have really existed while 'The Zorro' is a fantasy-creature ; yet , let's concentrate on their portrayal . .)

- - -

'Robin Hood' . . 'he takes from the rich and gives it to the poor' . . a 'social justice warrior' for his time AND his people ( Saxons ( the Norman upper-class in then-England treated Saxons such as Robin Hood poorly ) ) . .

Like I said , he is said to have really existed . . though nobody knows for sure . .

If he had really existed , what about the name ? ( there are rumours that the name 'Robin Hood' was merely an allusion to 'a robbing man with a hood' = 'the robbin' hood' ( ? ) )

Either way , he is said to have been in clinch with the Normanic upper-class then in England , like I said , which treated Saxons poorly . .

Here we have already one 'social justice warrior' glorified . .

- - -

'The Zorro' = Spanish for 'Fox'

He is told to be the alter ego of a nobleman in Spanish California in the 19th century who reacts when he sees social injustice , puts on the mask of his alter ego , 'The Zorro' and 'helps the people' . .

Another one . .

- - -

So , you see , people on the side of the people also gain popularity ..

AND . . may I remind you that the National socialists in a way also were 'social justice warriors' . .?

. . in fact they were far from the anti-social Bolshevism of the Soviet Union . .

- - -

I know that the expression 'social justice warriors' are a bit negatively set in our movement ( considering for which people it is sometimes used . . ) , yet , these are the facts . .

In fact I almost think we would need some modern-day 'Zorros' or 'Robin Hoods' . .

. . they sure were 'smooth criminals'

. . just posting this as some kind of 'evening out' to my 'state glorified in media' thread . .

Think about the 'Robin Hood' and 'Zorro' characters what you want , in the stories they still helped their people
