Chinese will never admit but they put 3 million men into the conflict allied forces inflicted over a million casualties against them. But just goes to show they were willing to send in their forces to enforce their will. I also heard a lot of soldiers they used were either Japanese collaborators or soldiers that fought against the communist side in their civil war so at least a chunk of them were considered cannon fodder to get rid of anti communist elements.
But I don't hear of many Chinese forces surrendering to the allied side? perhaps even if they did they didn't want their families to be killed for it. Perhaps washing away the stain of fighting against the ruling commie system? didn't work out for them sadly as im sure many of them died in the great leap forward.
