Arrow Re: Is it true that the "best" American English is spoken in California ?

The "new tone" in California I suppose . .

Should , read that , should things in Cali go on the way they are I suppose we shall soon have a "new" form of language . .

There already is "Ebonics" , a form of English with an African tone ( "Uh gotz tuh get muh cribz" , "this beez muh broodaz 'n sistahs" . .) to the Pidgin-English spoken in the Carribean ( "All I ya tyell , mon . ." , "No , ya cyan't . ." ) . . .

. . which will maybe be a strange mix between English and Spanish . .

"Could you hand me the letters , por favor ?"

or

"I will be out with my chicos 'n chicas tonight , el capitan . ."

Wow . .

They are breeding Euro-Americans out there with their sheer presence . .

First the demographical shift changes in an area , then the culture ( I might add , not always for the better . .) . .

in contrast to . .

. .and of course also the language formerly spoken there . .
