Default Land of the Immortals

I have a new book out called Land of the Immortals. Here is the description:
Quote:
Is biological immortality desirable or not? If there were a class of humans who were immortal, what would be the benefits to humanity, and what would be the drawbacks? Would the longer time horizon of immortals permit them to make better long-term decisions, and thus be better rulers? Or would immortality put an end to evolution, causing immortals to lag behind mortals in development? In this novel, the National Science Institute of the Republic of Solutria establishes a research program to create biologically immortal humans to be their leaders. Will the program succeed, or will it unleash unforeseen repercussions on the people?
The digital version is available now. The paperback version will be available in a few hours.

Nikola Bijeliti's new book, Land of the Immortals, is a new look at a wish that most people have had at one time or another: to "cheat" death and live forever. However, don't expect a "warmed over" variation of so many science fiction books and films that have addressed this topic for so long a time. Using some actual science, newly discovered, there is actually one organism on earth that has been discovered that could live forever at least by a sound hypothesis. There may be more: however, but this made the news within the past year or so. With this science as a start, the book gets the reader's attention at the first paragraph and holds it. I found the book so hard to stop reading that I read it all in one sitting. But don't be swayed. This is a book that needs to be read over and again to grasp some biochemistry, genetics, and linguistics that are intense in complexity. Get ready for a bit of the Basque language, genetic manipulation that Michael Crichton would like if he were still with us, and with the White Race taking its rightful place in this excellent new book by an excellent author. You won't be able to stop after only one reading so don't try.
