Default Turlough O'Carolan For The Aspiring Fingerstyle Guitarist

Turlough O'Carolan was an Irish harpist (1670 - 1738). Because of smallpox he went blind at the age of 18. He was taken in and taught the harp. He left home and toured Ireland playing for his keep. His over 200 compositions are still played today. His Si Bheag Si Mhor (pronounced Sheebeg, Sheemore) means little hill, big hill. This beautiful peace composed by O'Carolan is for fingerstyle guitar.

Here is the tablature for Si Bheag Si Mhor. Actually I usually spell it differently, as some spell it various ways.

You won't find a nicer version of O'Carolan's Blind Mary and Planxty Irwin.
