Whoever designed the space toilet has a shitty job.

As much as we joke about the space toilet, it's still an impressive (and necessary) piece of machinery to solve the problem of elimination of bodily wastes in the zero-G environment of space. Back in the Gemini and Apollo days astronauts literally had to defecate into a bag held up or taped to their butts, and was a miserable and time-consuming process, not to mention the smell which permeated the cabin afterward even with the use of wet wipes and a chemical deodorant in the poop bag. It was so bad that many of those guys took Lomotil right before their flights to delay defecation as long as possible. Russian cosmonauts had the same problem, too. Also, their food was specially prepared to be "low-residue" to minimize solid waste. The traditional steak and eggs breakfast they ate and still eat on the morning of launch day was one example of this.

Prominently featured was disposable baby diapers. I cracked up an engineer there when I brought up that case years ago of the woman astronaut who drove cross-country to kill her lover's wife. She wore adult diapers so she didn't have to take pit stops. They had a guy there with a 3-D printer. I sat with him as he created something with it and explained the whole process to me. Before that, I was baffled by it from just reading articles. It was the coolest Hill reception ever.

Russians have their own solution for a toilet
(The video has subtitles for several languages.) "They say that Russia is a technically backward country, there are no roads, robotics do not develop, rockets do not fly, and mail goes too long. It’s a bullshit."

They say, that travelling on russian space train through solar system isn't comfortable. It's a lie!
We show you an ordinary voyage on a Russian spacetrain, which was not without interesting incidents. Alien, love confessions, hiking songs, and more!

The toilet on the spacetrain is much more efficient than the one on ISS--it opens directly to space! Alexander Buinov should re-do the VDV song wearing the uniform of the Starship Trooper. The conductress is overworked and needs more help. Must have a cheap boss. I thought for a moment the face-hugger from Alien was aboard, but this creature seems more friendly. The poor guy at the end must have been watching The Shining while he was ice fishing.

I was upset that they translated "дядя Толя" as "uncle Tolya" (04:00). Of course, it is absolutely correct to translate "дядя" as "uncle" when referring to the degree of kinship - "a brother of one's father or mother". But even "uncle" as "a child's term of address for a male friend of his parents" (Collins English Dictionary) is not suitable in this case, because the meaning of the Russian word is much broader. In Russian, this word can mean the address (not only for a child) to a mature man of about 40 years old (let's say the age interval is 35-55 years old). It may be an unfamiliar man for the one who addresses him. This is probably closer (in some cases at the appropriate age) to the English terms "sir" or "mister." But as far as I know, these addresses don't allow calling by name (mister Alex). Therefore, in my opinion, this should have been translated as "Anatoly, what's happened?"
