Favourite retro tv-series
- - - . . by retro-tv-series I mean not prevailing ones . . - - - . . when you look into the past, which series do you like which are no longer broadcast . . ? - - - A series I loved as a child . . . . 'Super Mario Brothers Super Show' For those unfamiliar with it . . The character 'Super Mario' stems from an 80's video-game . . . . the character first appeared for Nintendo entertainment and has been prominent since then. In fact almost every new console which came on the market had a 'Super Mario'-game story featured. . lol . . The story summed up . . Mario and Luigi , two Italian-stemming plumbers from Booklyn , magically are drawn into a fantastic world where there is a quarrel between the 'good' mushroom-people and an 'evil' species of turtle-like creatures . . . . Mario and Luigi aid the mushroom-people against the 'evil' turtles. lol I wonder how one can come up with such an idea . . - - - . . but I loved the series . . The series revolved around the same storyline I gave above , just that it was full of allusions to other stories , about famous movies , about famous music stars and so on . . . The titles , "Butch Mario and the Luigi Kid" ,"Count Koopula" ,"The Ten Koopmandments" et al sure speak for themselves . - - - - So . . one of the first 'computer game heroes' set into a tv-series revolving around other famous tales . . Funny . . to say the least . . . . . oh , and by the way . . So . . what are yours ? |
