Iran will be attacked because Bibi wants them attacked, so he can out-evil other jews. Here's what another jew, Bobby Fischer (chess champ) has to say about that mentality.

Quote:
Bobby Fischer: Jews are anti-social, destructive, intolerant, mean-spirited, deceitful, et cetera. They wish to destroy, rule and kill, rob whoever gets in their way. To facilitate them getting what they want, they have developed a perverted, unnatural, destructive, evil lifestyle. Even though they live off the non-Jews as parasites, they still hate them and wish to destroy them. Jews hate nature and the natural order, because it's pure and beautiful, and also because it's bigger and stronger than they are, and they feel that they can not fully control it. Nature's beauty and harmony stands in stark contrast to their squalidness and ugliness, and that makes them hate it all the more. Jews are destroyers. They are anti-humans. The anti-human Jew hates and wants to destroy all non-Jews. He will also destroy even other Jews who are less destructive and evil than he is, if they get in his way. Apparently, the wickedness of the Jew is genetically based. Jews are destroyers. They are anti-humans. By the act of circumcision, the Jew shows his hatred towards nature and the natural order. By this bloody, cruel, senseless act, he shows his cruelty and sadism, and that he will stop at nothing to obtain his ends. Surely the Jews are also behind the Islamic circumcision, which serves as an ideal cover and distraction from their own wickedness in this regard. Jews are truly anti-human and anti-nature. Jews are intensely selfish, intolerant and anti-social, et cetera. They are full of hate, greed, malice, et cetera. Naturally, other people, i.e. the non-Jews, don't like being bulldozed aside, robbed and murdered by the Jews, and will sooner or later resist. That is where the lies and deceit of the Jews come into play."

Default Dr Ahmedinejad: "the international public awakening"

President in an interview with Al-Mayadeen News Network:

Ruling global order as the cause of many problems has affected all countries

Referring to the fact that today, there is a public awakening in international arena (that's us!), and we have to attach more value to these rather than the other events, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated: 'there appears to be a greater fundamental event in international arena, and that is change of nations' viewpoints and approaches toward global issues and interrelations of the states.

Monday 24 September 2012 - 21:35

Answering to a question on the sensitive international circumstances, and the possibility of conclusion of a moderate solution meanwhile, Dr. Ahmadinejad clarified in the first day of presence in New York in an interview with Al-Mayadeen News Network that the current ruling order in the world is unilateral, and it is based on this kind of order that some let themselves transgress the others' properties and territories. "There is, however, an international public awakening which requires us to pay more attention to it rather than other events", he added.

"Many case and passing events happened throughout the history, and they are all transient, but what plays as determinant in the future is internal events of the nations which direct them toward a common point", the president stated.

Answering a question on ongoing drills in the Persian Gulf, the president expressed: "holding states of these exercises announced clearly that it does not address Iran, however, we are well aware that some try to display their power via these measures, but that is not of importance to us and is not of any particular consequence to Tehran."

"The Zionist regime enjoys an adventurous state. It has triggered five wars over the past 65 years in the region, and this is their regional mission. They would not be able to take any considerable measure for sure, and the Islamic Republic of Iran neither assigns them in its equations, nor attaches any significance to them", he continued.

Dr. Ahmadinejad stated on the question regarding the possibility of his criticism over functions of global power and wealth entities as the president of NAM this year that the problems today world faces are problems of all nations, and the ruling global order as the cause of many problems has affected all countries.

"All NAM member states reached a consensus on the globally important issues in a friendly setting. Many issues desired to Tehran got favored by the other members as concerning matters as well, and I will propose these issues in the meeting of the UN General Assembly on behalf of NAM member states. The outcome of the 16th NAM summit in Tehran was comprehensive and capable of meeting the requirements of today world", the president specified.

On a question about how to keep viewpoints of NAM members –as compromise two third of the UN members- close, Dr. Ahmadinejad expressed: "the current issues of the world are of two types; fundamental and subsidiary. Should the fundamental issues resolved, the latter will be solved as well."

"Most of the inconsiderable matters among the nations stem from misunderstandings, and this is caused by existing distances among the countries. These matters will be solved through holding negotiations among different states."

Stating that the Zionist regime is not comparable to Iran but receives global support, Dr. Ahmadinejad specified:” It is the Zionist regime's desire to strike other countries such as Iran, but even international conditions do not allow such a thing. We also consider the ongoing Persian Gulf exercise as ostensive and null."

Default Dr Ahmedinejad: "the international public awakening"

Answering a question on his expectations and predictions for the winner of the US presidential election, the Iranian president explained: " The American people should made decision in this connection; we, however, have every confidence that no one today in the world welcomes war and aggression, for whole people in the world and even in the United States will suffer from its consequences; the world do not accept another new war."

Concerning a question on occurring wide changes in Arab nations and emerging new Iran-supported governments, the premier said that we believe all regions such as ours should be run by the regional nations themselves, since the people within a region enjoy brotherhood, and are able to resolve every matter in a friendly state.

"Ignorance provides the enemy with an opportunity to use. A number of Zionists apparently threaten Iran, but the truth is all states of the region are in danger, because the arrogant powers tend to keep nations under their control. They lust for wealth and properties of nation; they planned for us", he added.

"All countries even the Islamic ones are in need of reforms, and no one is exception in this regard. The dignity of people in our Muslim countries needs to be preserved. They are entitled to enjoy freedom and basic rights, and take part in the governing affairs of their countries", he continued.

"We should make reforms based on our culture, local beliefs, and free from any interference and plots of aliens. People can protect their territories best if they play effective role in running their countries."

"All nations are in need of each other. They should resolve the problems with mutual understanding and sympathy. These are international principles. No country has right to stand against another one, and that is the sole way of attaining common and general prosperity", the president expressed.

Stressing the fact that personal and historical conflicts intertwine Syria circumstances, Dr. Ahmadinejad explained: "war is not an appropriate solution to resolve the problems, because war never goes to end; both involved sides attempt to conquer the opposite, and this continues in this way."

Pointing to holding foreign ministerial meeting in Cairo to find out a solution to Syria crisis, the president stated that we, according to the statement issued at NAM summit in Tehran, make every attempt to make a contact group in order for the parties to conflict in Syria to negotiate, and hopefully, some countries like Pakistan and Iraq may get the chance to contribute in this connection. Finding out a solution to Syria crisis is counted as a moral and humanitarian duty, and it seems aliens are not in favor of resolving current matters in Syria.

Answering a question on aliens' attempts to develop Iran phobia and religious conflicts, the Iranian president reiterated: "there are high capacity in the culture and beliefs of the nations in the region to negotiate; although governments may disagree on the issue, the authorities of the nations are expected to contribute problems to be solved based on the aforementioned capacity and common understanding."

On the insolence made to the prophet Mohammad (PBUH), president Ahmadinejad said: "Many countries will certainly take stance against it. This stems from Zionist to survive through these controversies. Iran will definitely condemn this issue in the UN General Assembly, and will call for a halt to blasphemies."

Dr. Ahmadinejad clarified on the possibility of direct confrontation of Syria and Turkey: "That is not highly probable, for it entails disadvantages for Turkey. Aliens of course seek chaos for the region, and nations should be alert to the possible plots."

On Syria crisis and its impacts upon resistance spirit in the future the president specified that resistance has turned into a public matter, and most of the people in the region do not agree on the Zionist acts. All regional nations support the rights of Palestinians, and stand against realization of the goals of the Zionist regime.

Iran sees cyber attacks as greater threat than actual war

Wednesday, September 26, 2012
From Print Edition

DUBAI: Iran is prepared to defend itself in case of a “cyber war” which could cause more harm than a physical confrontation, a commander in the country’s Revolutionary Guards said on Tuesday. The Islamic Republic has tightened cyber security since its uranium enrichment centrifuges were hit in 2010 by the Stuxnet computer worm, which it believes came from Israel or the United States.

“We have armed ourselves with new tools, because a cyber war is more dangerous than a physical war,” said Abdollah Araqi, deputy commander of ground forces in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA).

Israel has threatened to bomb Iran’s nuclear sites if diplomatic efforts fail to stop the nuclear work it believes is aimed at getting weapons capability, a charge Tehran denies. Many analysts are sceptical that airstrikes could completely destroy Iran’s nuclear projects and that cyber attacks like Stuxnet might be more effective.

Iran detected a computer virus in April inside the control systems of Kharg Island - which handles the vast majority of its crude oil exports - but the terminal remained operational.

Tehran is working towards developing a national Internet, saying that would improve cyber security. But many Iranians believe the plan is the latest way to control their access to the web, already highly censored.

Iran denied on Sunday that its hackers attacked US banks, following a Reuters report that three of the largest American lenders were repeatedly targeted over the past year. Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday condemned “shrill” talk of war between Israel and Iran which he said would be devastating.

Without mentioning the two rivals by name, Ban told the start of the UN General Assembly that he rejects “threats of potential military action by one state against another. “Any such attacks would be devastating. The shrill war talk of recent weeks has been alarming,” he told the 193-nation assembly where the showdown over Iran’s nuclear programme is one of the dominant themes.

Here's a couple interesting articles today :

Israeli PM to address Iran nukes at U.N. Thursday
Despite recent statements by U.S. Ambassador for the U.N., Susan Rice, that there is "no daylight" between American and Israeli policy on Iran, "this is the most dysfunctional relationship between an Israeli prime minister and American president I've ever seen," Miller said.
The two men share little trust, he added.
"Obama looks at Bibi (Netanyahu) as if he's a conman who doesn't think about anything but his political needs ... and is not serious about the peace process" with the Palestinians, Miller said. "And Bibi thinks Obama is rudderless about the Middle East" and too cautious.

Netanyahu to set "clear red line" for Iran in U.N. speech
Jeffrey Heller
Reuters
6:58 a.m. CDT, September 27, 2012

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will set out a "clear red line" for Iran's disputed nuclear drive in his U.N. speech on Thursday, an Israeli official said, adding that the plan could be pursued together with the United States.

Netanyahu faces the world body a day after U.S. President Barack Obama disappointed some Israelis by imposing no ultimatum to the Iranians in his own address, though he did warn that time for diplomacy with Tehran "is not unlimited".

Israel sees a mortal threat in a nuclear-armed Iran and has long threatened to strike its arch-foe pre-emptively, agitating war-wary world powers as they pursue sanctions and negotiations.

Complicating Netanyahu's strategy have been his testy relations with Obama as a U.S. election looms, and the reluctance of many Israelis to trigger an unprecedented conflict with Iran, which denies that it is seeking to develop nuclear weapons and has pledged wide-ranging retaliation if attacked.

"The prime minister will set a clear red line in his speech that will not contradict Obama's remarks. Obama said Iran won't have nuclear weapons. The prime minister will clarify the way in which Iran won't have nuclear arms," a senior Israeli official said en route to New York.

Though he has not previously detailed when Israel might be willing to go to war, Netanyahu has said Iran could have enough low-enriched uranium by early 2013 to refine to a high level of fissile purity for a first nuclear device. Israel worries that this final step, if taken, could happen too quickly or quietly to be prevented.

Iran has said it has no plans to enrich uranium beyond the 20 percent purity required to run a reactor producing medical isotopes. That level, however, brings raw uranium exponentially closer to the 90 percent enrichment required for bomb fuel.

Though reputed to have the Middle East's sole nuclear arsenal, Israel would be hard-put to deliver lasting conventional damage to Iran's remote facilities and to handle a multi-front war.

WORKING TOGETHER

Netanyahu's public calls for a U.S. ultimatum have deepened acrimony with Obama, a Democrat accused by his Republican rivals of being soft on the Jewish state's security. That has stirred American accusations of Israeli meddling in the November presidential elections - something denied by Netanyahu.

"The prime minister will say (in his speech) that Israel and the United States can work together to achieve their common goal," said the Israeli official on condition of anonymity.

For twenty years that worthless kike has been screaming that 'Chicken Little was right.' I wish Iran would go ahead and put a sheet of black glass over those evil bastards.

An attack on Iran is futile, our stealth weaponry is useless against Iran, given the Russian technology they possess. The Russians have given Iran the Sunburn II and S-300 missile defense systems.

An attack on Iran will cause the destruction of the U.S. fleet in the area, and all out war. It has been predicted that they would start it, but they cannot win it. Even with U.S. help, the kike state is history, and the flow of oil from the region being delayed or ended will crush the world's economy.

There is no winner in the upcoming kike war, everybody loses, especially the kikes.
Not to mention Iran's Navy. It isn't a few or more than a few destroyers, aircraft carriers, and the like, but rather approximately 3000 PT like boats with weapons able to sink big ships.

There is a reason why our Navy gives theirs space.

Sorry, fellow serf, we don't have a choice or even a vote. This is Armageddon, and nothing can stop it. If what we said mattered, I'd vote with you.

Actually, Bibi runs America, and he wants war by us against kike desired land holders. They want the whole M.E. and we are just pawns in their sick fucking game.

I want war, but against them, not against their enemies. I want revolution in this country, and I want everybody to pick up a gun and fight them and their hoards of mud. I want our country back, for whites and no others.

I'd like to catch Bibi in a dark alley, I'd end that bitch's reign of terror.

Bibi’s Crazy UN Speech

Medievalist poses as champion of “modernity”

by Justin Raimondo, September 28, 2012

Print This | Share This

It’s no wonder the Israeli Foreign Ministry initially held back from releasing a transcript of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to the UN General Assembly: Bibi’s wackiness doesn’t bear close scrutiny. Perhaps “wacky” isn’t quite the right word for his 40-minute peroration, during which he pulled out a bomb “diagram” and a red marker to illustrate where he would draw a “red line” defining the outer limits of Iran’s nuclear program. Cartoonish is more like it. The cartoonish quality of the bomb drawing underscored the content and tone of the speech, which was the jeremiad of a radical ideologue rather than anything one would expect from a statesman:

“Today a great battle is being waged between the modern and the medieval. Israel stands proudly with the forces of modernity. We protect the right of all our citizens, men and women, Jews and Arabs, Muslims and Christians, all are equal before the law.”

Israel, which privileges its priestly caste, has a state religion, and bases its national mythology on a “promise” from G-d, is as medieval as any of its neighbors. Aside from being a lie, however, this statement is interesting because it evokes the very same supremacist spirit that animates the controversial pro-Israel public relations campaign launched by the Jewish state’s extremist American supporters. Posters in the public transport system, from New York to San Francisco, proclaim:

“In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat jihad.”

No wonder the Israeli consulates in New York and San Francisco won’t disavow those vile subway posters: Pamela Geller is the new public face of Israel.

Yes, Israel protects the rights of all citizens – unless they’re Palestinians who happen to own property coveted by the “settlers,” in which case it doesn’t. And the key word here is citizens: of course, the Palestinians in the occupied territories are not citizens, but helots, with no rights, and no protection from fanatical Jewish fundamentalists who have launched hundreds of attacks on their homes, and sought to displace them at every opportunity, with the active complicity of the Israeli government.

This idea that Israel represents “modernity” is rich, considering that every day Israeli society is sinking lower into the morass of religious and cultural fundamentalism, a regression that has not gone unnoticed in the West. Bibi opened his speech with biblical references, describing Jersusalem as the “eternal capital” of Israel and declaring that “the Jewish state will live forever.” Yet as we secularists know, nothing lives “forever,” and the idea of a city being the “eternal” capital of anything is a metaphor, at best, at worst a dangerous delusion. If this is the “modern” then one wonders how much it differs from the “medieval.” But let’s not linger too long over the obvious. Bibi rants on:

“Militant Islam has many branches, from the rulers of Iran with their revolutionary guards to al-Qaeda… but they’re all rooted in the same soil. It’s not whether this fanaticism will be defeated, but how many lives will be lost before it’s defeated. Nothing could emperil my country more than arming Iran with nuclear weapons. To imagine what the world would be like with a nuclear Iran, imagine what the world would be like with a nuclear al-Qaeda. There’s no difference.”

The Israeli Prime Minister may have been addressing the UN General Assembly, but he was really talking to the Americans, whose fear and loathing of the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks can always be counted on to raise them to new levels of hysteria. Outside that context, however, equating the Iranians with Al Qaeda makes about as much sense as likening the late unlamented Saddam Hussein to Osama bin Laden – and, hey wait, didn’t we hear that equation made endlessly in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq? Yet this was not a time for subtlety from the Israeli Prime Minister – the cartoon “bomb” ended all hope of that – but for the crudest sort of propaganda, which is, of course, war propaganda.

Imagine if Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, who addressed the UN that day minutes before Netanyahu took the stage, had said: “Militant Judaism has many branches, from the Washington offices of AIPAC to the center of Jewish power in Tel Aviv – but they’re all rooted in the same soil” of intolerance? Picture him conjuring images of violent Jewish “fanaticism” – not a hard task, given what is happening in Israel today. If he had done so, Abbas would have been denounced in every Western capital as the 21st century incarnation of Hitler.

Netanyahu went on to cite the nonexistent “record of Iranian aggression without nuclear weapons” – an odd claim, since Iran hasn’t attacked a single one of its neighbors since the Battle of Thermopylae. The country did fight one war in modern times, when it was attacked by Iraq, which was being backed by the United States. However, it’s necessary to remember that war propaganda has no need of facts: only emotionally-charged evocations of rage – and fear:

“Given this record of Iranian aggression without nuclear weapons, just imagine an Iran with nuclear weapons. Who among you would feel safe in the Middle East? Who’d be safe in Europe? Who’d be safe in America? Who’d be safe anywhere?”

That this alleged champion of “modernity” should base his case on fearmongering should come as no surprise: hasn’t fear been the leitmotif of all the “modern” ideologies of aggressive nationalism? Fear of the Other, of the barbarian at the gates – the “savage” who, at the first opportunity, will tear your throat out with his bare teeth – is what keeps ideologues like Netanyahu and his American co-thinkers in business.

Those Eye-ranians, says Bibi, aren’t like the rest of us, which is why deterrence won’t work. “Iran’s apocalyptic leaders” are awaiting the return of the Mahdi, a holy man, whose reappearance is supposed to occur after a devastating war:

“Militant jihadists are not secular Marxists. Militant jihadists behave very differently. There were no Soviet suicide bombers.”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the Israelis also awaiting the return of Someone Special, a Messiah who will lead them out of the wilderness and establish the Kingdom of Jerusalem as His earthly domain? Militant jihadists may not be secular Marxists – but then again, militant Zionists aren’t, either. I would no more trust nuclear bombs in Bibi’s hands than I would in Ahmahdinejad’s – the difference being that the former is actually in possession of such weapons.

Which brings us to the absurdity of this lecture by the leader of the only nuclear-armed country in the region: here is a nation which refuses to even admit it acquired nukes long ago, and which disdains the Nonproliferation Treaty, making the case for war against a neighbor that has indeed signed the NPT and is abiding by its requirements.

That treaty gives Tehran the right to develop nuclear power. Furthermore, there is zero evidence Iran is embarked on a nuclear weapons program: our own intelligence community tells us they gave that up in 2003 and show no signs of resuming it. Their own religious and political leaders have denounced the possession of nuclear weapons as sinful: the Israelis, on the other hand, haven’t bothered reassuring us they would never use the nuke they won’t admit they have.

In a rational world, Israel would be in the dock, answering for its unwillingness to come out of the nuclear closet and admit what the whole world knows by now. Indeed, Bibi could give us some insight into exactly how Israel stole acquired the materials to build its formidable nuclear arsenal – since, according to recently declassified documents, he was directly involved.

In the world in which we are living, however, in which the innocent are put on trial and the guilty sit in judgement, the situation is quite different. In that world, the leader of a tiny nation entirely dependent on US largesse takes to the UN podium to issue his marching orders to Washington. Here is my “red line,” says Bibi – daring not only the Iranians but also the Americans to cross it.

Think of Netanyahu’s UN oration as just another Romney campaign speech, in which the GOP presidential candidate says Tehran must not be allowed to get “one turn of the screwdriver away” from joining the nuclear club. According to Netanyahu, Iran is nearly at that point today, and will have a nuclear weapon in less than a year if the US fails to act.

This is technical nonsense, but then again the truth has nothing to do with war propaganda: to the average American, the mere possession of weapons-grade uranium means all the Iranians have to do is plug it in and hurl it, slingshot style, in the general direction of Israel. This is an impression Israeli propagandists would dearly love to inculcate in the American public, and they have the great advantage of relying on general ignorance of the technical details. Good luck explaining to Mr. Average American why it would take a good four years after they’ve weaponized their nuclear material for the Iranians to create a useable nuke.

The ticking-bomb theme, which has been used to justify everything from torture to the invasion of Iraq, permeates Israeli propaganda in the US and was a cental theme of Bibi’s speech. His message was clear: “the hour is getting late.” We must act without giving too much thought to the possible consequences. Don’t delay, don’t think, act now – before the fraud is exposed, and we discover that – as in the case of the Iraqis – those “weapons of mass destruction” were just a figment of our easily manipulated collective imagination.

Syria: The Strange US/Israel/Al-Qaeda Ménage à Trois
Posted by Daniel McAdams on September 28, 2012 03:44 PM

A little more than a week after the extremists linked to Al-Qaeda by our own US government set up and murdered Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has announced that the United States would send an additional $45 million to the very same Al-Qaeda's Syrian franchise.

Yes you read that right: The US is sending another $45 million to assist in Syria the same people it is fighting in Afghanistan and the same people who killed US Ambassador Chris Stevens in Libya.

Interestingly, the US, Israel, and Al-Qaeda all agree that the rebels in Syria, many of whom are foreign jihadists, must succeed in overthrowing the Assad government. That is like an all-you-can-eat luncheon buffet in front of hungry conspiracy theorists.

But in reality the "conspiracy" is out in the open.

Back in 1996, neo-cons wrote in the "Clean Break" strategy paper that was to be a foreign policy framework for then-Prime Minister Netanyahu, "Israel can shape its strategic environment, in cooperation with Turkey and Jordan, by weakening, containing, and even rolling back Syria."

The United States is addicted to its own stale narcotic of "global democratic revolution" regardless of the chaos and destruction left in its wake. Regardless of the fact that it is undermining US interests overseas, isolating the United States from the rest of the increasingly resentful world, and turning the US military into a Soviet nightmare of a socialist jobs program. Many of those who continue to drive US foreign policy are the same people or of the same ideology as those involved in the preparation of the 1996 policy guidance for Netanyahu.

And of course the only democracy delivered by the US partners in formerly secular Arab states is one that drowns in oceans of innocent blood, leaving many of us to wonder about Lenin's dream of "the worse the better."

"Al-Qaeda" is in fact a loose and generic term for Saudi-supported movements which seek to destroy any secular Arab government. Saddam, Gaddafi, Assad, etc. They are there.

They are in bed together, it is undeniable. Syria is in their mutual crosshairs. It is hard to imagine the country surviving. As in the other countries "liberated" by this terrible troika, Christians and secular or moderate Muslims will be the first to have their heads on the chopping block. Radicals will take over. The worse the better. Iran is next. Israelis who want no part in this insane game will be left all the more vulnerable to blowback and backlash. The Middle East will be turned into a parking lot for the Armageddon Express...

As usual, Land Destroyer has many of the important details and links.

Default Iran Rial Crisis: Currency Fall Leads To Tightened Measures

TEHRAN, Iran -- Police threatened merchants who closed their shops in Tehran's main bazaar and launched crackdowns on sidewalk money changers on Wednesday as part of a push to halt the plunge of Iran's currency, which has shed more than a third its value in less than a week.

The measures underscore the serious concern by officials facing one of the most potentially destabilizing scenarios, which has been partly blamed on the fallout from Western sanctions over Tehran's nuclear program.

Gee, I wonder who could possibly foretell the collapse, then actually make it happen?

I would bet my left nut, that the kikes and their wholly owned US intelligentsia is dumping Iranian currency into their markets by the truckload.

Only a government could produce replicas of a currency sequentially numbered, that would pass for the real thing. China has been doing that to us for decades.

Possible.
The economic embargo Obama enacted was, in a very real sense, an act of war, and is now having the intended effect.

US-Led Iran Sanctions Putting Millions of Lives at Risk, Iranian Charity Says

It appears the US aim is to harm Iranian civilians as punishment for a nuclear weapons program that everyone agrees the regime doesn't have

by John Glaser, October 17, 2012

US-led economic sanctions are putting millions of Iranian lives are at risk by blocking the importing of medicines and hospital equipment, according to country’s top medical charity.

Fatemeh Hashemi, head of the Charity Foundation for Special Diseases, a non-government organisation supporting six million patients in Iran, is warning publicly about deep shortages of medicines for diseases like hemophilia, multiple sclerosis and cancer.

“Those with thalassaemia or in need of dialysis are facing difficulties too,” Hashemi tells The Guardian, “all because of sanctions against banks or problems with transferring foreign currency.”

Although the sanctions don’t target medicine and humanitarian needs, they are “increasingly hitting vulnerable medical patients as deliveries of medicine and raw materials for Iranian pharmaceutical companies are either stopped or delayed,” the Washington Post reported last month.

Hashemi recently wrote to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urging him to intervene for the sake of Iranian patients who, she said, have had “their basic human right” taken away from them because of sanctions.

“The sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran have had significant effects on the general population, including an escalation in inflation, a rise in commodities and energy costs, an increase in the rate of unemployment and a shortage of necessary items, including medicine,” Ban had warned the UN in a report earlier this month.

“The sanctions also appear to be affecting humanitarian operations in the country,” he wrote. “Even companies that have obtained the requisite licence to import food and medicine are facing difficulties in finding third-country banks to process the transactions.”

It’s increasingly obvious that Washington’s aim is to harm the Iranian people in a cruel form of collective punishment for a nuclear weapons program that even US intelligence admits does not exist.

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has admitted they aren’t changing the policies of the regime, but has insisted on their continuance nevertheless. As one of the top supporters of sanctions, Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA), said, “Critics [of the sanctions] argued that these measures will hurt the Iranian people. Quite frankly, we need to do just that.”
