After he discharged a gun on a movie set Thursday resulting in the death of one crew member and the injury of another, actor Alec Baldwin is now getting trolled on social media for his anti-gun activism and an old tweet in which he wondered “how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone.”

Alec Baldwin, who mercilessly mocked President Donald Trump on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, has not been charged with any crimes, but the Santa Fe County, New Mexico, Sheriff said the investigation is ongoing. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon on the New Mexico set of the movie Rust, a western that Baldwin is producing and starring in.

Alec Baldwin, who accidentally killed his cinematographer on the set of his film “Rust,” should have never pointed a gun at another human, even if he believed it was safe, Hollywood safety experts told The Post.

And the actor is now likely to face a gantlet of legal challenges — including possible criminal charges — as both the man who pulled the trigger and as the executive producer responsible for set safety, legal experts said.

“Loaded or unloaded, a weapon never gets pointed at another human being,” Hollywood firearms consultant Bryan Carpenter of Dark Thirty Film Services told The Post.

Baldwin, 63, fired a prop gun that killed Halyna Hutchins, 42, and injured the film’s director, Joel Souza, on the “Rust” set in Santa Fe, NM, on Thursday.

For safety, all live firearms used in TV and film productions are typically aimed at a dummy point, not at equipment, cast or crew, Carpenter noted. Guns, he said, are never aimed at a person.

The Left is trying to shut down criticism of liberal elitist Alec Baldwin and trying to paint the reckless shooting of two people as some sort of unavoidable tragedy. Bull feathers.

At best, you have a horrible jerk liberal, who screams at his subordinates, who promises his workers hotels in a nearby town, but then reneges and forces them to drive 50 miles each morning, who runs things so badly the prop union members and seven people on the camera crew walk off the job, and then he violates ALL the rules of safe gun handling, points a pistol with not just one person, but two in his line of fire and pulls the trigger, having failed to check the firearm himself even though he knew the union prop handlers were no longer there.

After killing a defenseless unarmed woman, his first instinct was to blame the person, who handed him the gun. Alec Baldwin is 63 years old and should have known how to check a firearm himself (assuming he wasn’t too arrogant to talk with the little people). If he doesn’t know, he should have shut down the movie until the prop handlers came back rather than trust the cheap replacement personnel, who clearly didn’t know what they were doing.

Never point a gun at someone you don’t intend to shoot. Always assume a gun is loaded and with the safety off.

Baldwin has played presidents and important officials all his career, but he’s really just a know-nothing Hollywood actor, who’s only good at make believe.

Alec Baldwin is typical of the liberal elitist crowd. They assume they know everything, but Baldwin could not even do a safety check that an average gun-owner would know how to do.

The accidental on-set killing of a cinematographer by long-time Donald Trump critic Alec Baldwin has not escaped the eldest son of the 45th president, who used it to make a new addition to his politically-charged fashion line.

The shirt, apparently mocking the anti-Trump, pro-gun control actor in the wake of the accidental shooting, was unveiled by Donald Trump Jr. on Monday. The piece of clothing, available at his official shop for $27.99, comes with a rather blunt slogan “Guns don’t kill people, Alec Baldwin kills people.”

The latest addition to the fashion line was promoted by Trump Jr. in a Telegram post with a doctored picture showing Baldwin donning the shirt.

SANTA FE, N.M — Authorities on Wednesday refused to rule out whether Alec Baldwin could face criminal charges after he accidentally shot dead his cinematographer and injured the director on the New Mexico set of his “Rust” film last week.

Nearly a week after the shooting, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza acknowledged during a press conference that there was “some complacency” in how weapons were handled on set — and that other live rounds were potentially uncovered amid the investigation.
