The Smithfield Times
Serving Isle of Wight and Surry Counties.

White Supremacy paper circulated in Smithfield
by Allison T. Williams

Janet Wiley has a message for the discriminating deliveryman who tossed a white-supremacist tabloid in her front yard early Sunday.
"I want them to know that I don't want that smut near my house." said the Plantation Road resident. She is one of several hundred county residents who woke up to fine The White Patriot Leader, a newspaper which promotes hatred toward blacks, Jews and Mexicans, in their yards.
"I was appalled when I saw this...and don't want my 10-year old son reading it," she said." It kind of scares me that you can find that Aryan mess in our county."
Someone--no one seems to know exactly who--distributed the Missouri-based publication around four Smithfield communities sometime overnight Saturday, said Capt. Alonzo Smith, spokesman for the Smithfield Police Department. Targeted areas included Wrenn's Mill Estates, Pagan Point, Red Point Heights and the Moonefield communities.
The police department received several calls from concerned citizens on Monday, he said. the Sheriff's Department has not received any calls related to the incidents.
However offensive the literature may be, Howell said it didn't appear that the distributor has violated any laws by distributing the publication.
"We probably couldn't do anything if we did know who it was," Howell said. The content of the paper is protected under the distributor's First Amendment rights.
Although The White Patriot Leader has been distributed in upper middle class neighborhoods in several Virginia cities over the past couple of years, including Newport News and Waynesboro, Howell doesn't ever recall it having been circulated in Isle of Wight before.
A retired downtown businessman, who lives in the Moonefield area, said he tossed the publication in the trash once he started reading it.

This article was on the front page. The Smithfield Times is a weekly paper.

Default My letter-to-editor published 21 March 07

My letter-to-editor in response to their front page news report was printed in their today's edition (21 March 07) - Smithfield Times newspaper in Virginia. Phone to confirm: 757-357-3288: LTE follows:

The LTE follows. I've received 4 phone calls so far. All complimentary, and all asking for a copy of TWPL. I'll oblige. I also emailed a LTE to the other 2 newspapers that reported recent WPL distros, and will post them here if they're printed. To confirm my LTE in today's Smithfield (VA) Times, phone them at: 757-357-3288.

Dear Editor;

Re: “White Supremacy paper circulated in Smithfield”, dtd 14 Mar 07

I’m the publisher of The White Patriot Leader, a 16-page pro-white newspaper recently mass distributed in your area . It’s purpose is to provide white folks with news and commentary from a white perspective – an alternative to the blatantly obvious anti-white establishment media that has denigrated whites, and worked against the interests of white people for over 50 years.

If our newspaper “promotes hate”, as stated by your reporter, Allison Williams, then so does factual truths regarding racial issues. Factual truths, she predictably declined to deny or even address, as do all controlled journalists wanting to keep their jobs and advance their careers. They simply call us vile names. While condemning our hatreds, they preach hatred for us, and in the very same articles, all to the applause of minorities, sensitive soccermoms, and girli-men stressed out by reading racial truths from a white perspective.

White people have special interests just like jews, blacks, Asians, and Hispanics. There are literally hundreds of newspapers that work for their interests. We believe white folks deserve at least one.

As for Smithfield’s “problem” with irate recipients of The White Patriot Leader, I have the solution. To stop future deliveries, and there will be many I assure you, all they need do is phone me at 417-463-7703. Presto ! Problem solved. We’re not interested in reaching Oprah’s “ostriches”, anyway.

In closing, I’d like to thank police officer Alonzo Smith, who I assume is black, for his defense of our freedom of speech and the press. And I hope you’ll follow his patriotic example by printing this free speech letter.

Default Letters-to-Editor & Editorial in VA Newspaper (March 07)

Virginia WPL distro spurs LTEs & Editorial
The following 2 letters-to-editor and editorial were published in a March 07 edition of the Smithfield Times newspaper, Smithfield, VA as a result of a recent distribution of several hundred WPLs by Ron Doggett and Ironguard1940.

"Spreading hatred

Dear Editor:

I am writing you as a person that feels abused. At the same time, I want to apologize for something that I did not do to my friends and our community.

I feel as a citizen of Smithfield that we were all abused when the first white supremacist paper was placed on the first doorstep. The idea that our citizens would have to ask themselves why they should receive hate literaure disturbs me. The thought that a parent might have to explain this to a child who picked it up upsets me to no end. It is a stark reminder that extremism can reach into our community at any time.

I want to apologize to my community lest anyone think I or anyone I may have influenced would in some way condone the distribution of hate literature. I abhor it.

We were shocked on September 11th by Al-Qaida actions. Their actions were taken by people indoctrinated by extremist beliefs. So was the Oklahoma city bombing.

Well, as horrible as their actions were, more harm has been done by other extremists. As reprehensible as Al-qaida has been, more harm has been done in this world by the Nazis in this country by the Klan.

The hate literature should serve as a warning. We cannot condone injustice or intolerance anywhere. After all, our community is part of the community of mankind. It is where we live and raise our children, and our grandchildren to hopefully live a better tomorrow. I do hope each and every pulpit and each community leader shares these thoughts with those they influence.

Jerry Tenney
Smithfield, VA" (end of letter-to-editor)

"Racists find no comfort here

Dear Editor:

To the person or persons who threw racist newspapers in our yards last week, we may not know who you are, but we know who you follow. You will find in our community good and decent people who do not fear you or your kind. Every day as we pray "deliver us from evil", we know that our yards can be soiled by your trash or our worldly bodies could be harmed, but you cannot have what you want.

If you believe the lies and hate you spread, you will not like me, my friends, or my neighbors. You will find no comfort here unless you purge the poison from your heart. I pray that you too will be delivered from evil.

Talbott Jones,
Smithfield, VA (end of letter to editor)

Smithfield Times editorial in same edition as LTEs

"Virginia Vignettes

How active was the Ku Klux Klan in Virginia?

The Ku Klux Klan was formed in Tennessee during Reconstruction, but it was not active in the Old Dominion. However, thanks to antiforeign hysteria generated by World War I, the "Invisible Empire" made a comeback across America in the 1920s. It again had little influence in Virginia - one historian estimates it had 20,000 members in the state - but in some industrial cities and in Southwest Virginia, where party competition forced politicians to latch on to any advantage, the Klan found fertile ground. It seemed to favor the Republicans, but politicians of both parties joined the organization out of political necessity, if only to keep tabs on the opposition. In the summer of 1926, a Catholic priest was abducted in Norfolk, and a masked mob flogged two women in Bristol. In a more public ceremony attended by 5,000 Klansman, Hiram Evans, Imperial Eizard of the national Klan, presented an American flag and flagpole to the College of William and Mary. In 1928 the organization vigorously opposed the presidential candidacy of Catholic Al Smith. But then it disappeared, only to resurface in the 1950s." (End of editorial)

NOTE: I receive far more favorable phone calls from Virginia than hate calls, and I get lots of them, thanks to Ron, Walter, and SA Mann mainly.

Furthermore, it is a fact that not one single system newspaper has ever printed a favorable letter-to-editor from any recipient of our paper. They only print anti-WPL hate letters.

Notice how the writer of the editorial (un-named) felt the need to divide white protestants and white catholics.

"Every day we're not attacked by jewish press hounds is a day we've wasted." (Catholic Adolph Hitler - 1925 - Mein Kampf)

I just now ran across this photo of Chain and 12,000 copies of one edition of VNN's newspaper, taken in late 2005 in Georgia.

Hate Mail Delivered to Central Virginia

Posted: May 21, 2009 01:52 PM

Updated: May 21, 2009 05:29 PM

Families in Crozet and Waynesboro woke up Thursday morning to find white supremacist flyers outside their homes. Copies of "The Aryan Alternative" were let up and down the streets leaving families on edge.

"Obviously, they're very sick people. That's my opinion," said Toni Conley who lives in Crozet.

Conley found the paper on her driveway. She picked it up, believing it to be a normal paper, but the messages inside were not what she expected.

"I looked at some of the different titles to the different articles and it blew me away," said Conley.

Although Conley wasn't the only Crozet resident to receive the delivery, she doesn't understand why neighborhoods in the small town were a target.

"I couldn't believe little Crozet. I just feel so sheltered by the mountains," said Conley.

Papers showing up in Waynesboro left people on both sides of the mountain offended, but the racist papers are entirely legal.

"There is no unprotected category of speech called 'hate speech,' it is in fact protected by the first amendment," said Josh Wheeler, Associate Director of the Thomas Jefferson Center for Protection of Free Expression.

Unless the words are threatening or encourage illegal behavior they're fair game.

"Government shouldn't have the ability to punish us just for the thoughts we have," said Wheeler.

Some say, in a way, the papers are a good way to inform the public of who's in their backyard.

"It gives you an orientation that there's a potential nucleus for a cell or group of people in this area or region that believe in this ideology," said Julio Trigo, a Crozet resident.

Others, including Conley, would rather see people follow the old saying we've heard time and time again.

"If you don't have anything nice to say in a way you know keep to to yourself, have your beliefs," said Conley.

Neo-Nazi Paper Shows Up in Crozet; Residents Are Angry, Scared

A Neo-Nazi newspaper is showing up in local mailboxes. It's happening in Crozet, although the newspaper is printed in Missouri. Residents are furious, saying they don't want it.

Around 7:00 pm Wednesday (5/20) night some people in Crozet found an Aryan Alternative newspaper, touted as "news and commentary from a white perspective", sitting in their driveways.

Many neighbors are livid, saying the paper is nothing but racist hate speech. It was hand delivered to their homes, which they find unsettling.

Some Crozet residents are even fearful for their safety. CBS19 talked with one person who didn't want to appear on camera because he was afraid he'd be targeted by the paper's distributors.

"I can't explain the emotions that I went through. I mean you run the gamut of all emotions when you pick up something like that, especially so close to your house," says one Crozet Resident who found a copy of the offensive paper in his driveway.

The publisher of the paper says it's merely an educational tool and anyone that doesn't want it can simply call his number, which you can find in the paper.

But the people who found the paper on their doorsteps aren't happy with that answer, saying they're looking into the possibility of taking legal action to try and keep Neo-Nazi papers out of their neighborhoods.

Here is the lead story on the CBS station. I'll answer some of the non-sense reported in these stories later, of course not one paper was put in a mailbox and they know that.

Many Valley and central Virginia residents found a white supremacist newspaper on their front steps Thursday morning.

"The Aryan Alternative" newspaper was hand-delivered to homes in Augusta and Albemarle counties.

The paper touts content as news and commentary from a white perspective.

Residents who received the paper say it's nothing more than hate speech.

Crozet resident Bill Gorman says, "Some things that come to mind are fear, fear mongering, which is a common strategy. It's just upsetting, the emotional part of it."

The Missouri-based publisher, Vanguard News Network, describes its neo-Nazi paper as an educational tool.
This one even has VNN's logo on it

dumbass lemming letter to editor :

Quote:
Unfortunately, the garbage distributed throughout Crozet last night is not unique to Crozet - it was dropped off in Charlottesville a few years ago.

(did you know that the County Police have online crime reporting? I didn’t either)

This, from a concerned Crozet reader:

Good morning, all. I didn’t actually notice this trash in my driveway until another parent at the bus stop just mentioned it, but the white supremacist group, the Aryan Nation, tossed copies of their newsletter, the Aryan Alternative, in many of our driveways last night. Without evening opening it you can see the racist propaganda they’re trying to spread. Not something I want my children to find in the driveway! Not something I want to read, either.

While freedom of speech protects their right to distribute this filth, it does not protect them from littering! I called the county police, and they said that yes, because they tossed it in our driveways, we can report them for littering! Every single newspaper tossed in our driveways is a count of littering that can result in a fine. Since they distributed dozens of them, we can hit them where it hurts!!!

You can report them online in just a few minutes at
http://www.albemarle.org/policeonlinereporting/

I took a picture of the paper being in my driveway and for the time being am not going to throw it out in case the police wants it as evidence. I would encourage you to do the same if you can, because with proof, a fine will absolutely stick. Even if you already did throw it out, please report it.

Now unfortunately, if they want to do this again, they legally can put the paper in our newspaper slots or even tape them to our front doors (although I would argue this is trespassing), but if enough of us file a report, hopefully they’d discover that Crozet will not be friendly toward their presence here and will get the message to stay away.
Whats with these retards and their obsession with the word "Aryan Nation" (oohhh scary!!)

Billy Gorman is just one of many people in Crozet who had the Aryan Alternative delivered to his home in what is normally a quiet Crozet neighborhood.

The paper touts itself as news and commentary from a white perspective but Gorman and some neighbors are upset, saying the paper is nothing but racist hate speech.

"Some things that come to mind are fear, kind of fear mongering which is a common strategy but upsetting is the emotional part of it," said Gorman.

We talked with one person who didn't want to appear on camera out of fear of being targeted by the distributors.

"I can't explain the emotions that I went through. I mean you run the gamut of all emotions when you pick up something like that, especially so close to your house," said a Crozet resident.

Some neighbors say the paper was hand delivered. They find that unsettling and upsetting, especially in a neighborhood filled with kids.

"I just, I wish it would stop. I don't like it. I don't like the fact that the kids can get ahold of it," said a Crozet resident.

"As these instances come up I think the best thing to do is just to make sure your kids know what's going on, on a level they can understand," said Gorman.

The Missouri publisher, Glenn Miller, says they're not out to get people upset.

"We don't like to upset people, we tell the truth. If the truth upsets people, what the hell are you going to do about it," said Miller.

He says the area was targeted and that more editions can be expected.

"Regarding the distributors, I've known a couple of them for more than 20 years," said Miller.

In the mean time, some residents are looking into the possibility of taking legal action to keep the papers out of their neighborhood. For now many are just tossing it in the trash.

Miller says if people don't want his paper, all they have to do is call and they will never receive one again. His number, 417-463-7703.

Pedophile Distributes Racist Newsletter in Crozet

White supremacist newsletter The Aryan Alternative was left in Crozet driveways this morning, Jenn McDaniel writes for NBC-22, courtesy of the “National Vanguard.” The same group last did this in 2005, leaving the publication around Rose Hill. (Which is probably not the demographic they were going for.) The group appears to consist of one guy, Kevin Strom, who you might remember for his child porn collection, pedophilia habit, wife-beating, and trolling this here website. He was arrested a couple of years ago, had the pedophilia and wife-beating charges dropped, served time for his kiddie porn collection, and got out in September. This all started when National Vanguard became headquartered in C’ville a few years ago. That’s the price that we pay for being a tolerant town.

The shame is that he does all of this for the attention, and here I am, giving him more of it. If somebody could scan in a copy of this rag, I suspect it’d be worth posting here. The foolishness spouted by this no-talent assclown withers when exposed to sunlight and mocked accordingly.
