Fire and Rescue Service placed 'on notice' by union to tackle racism and deliver 'systemic change'

The Fire Brigades Union says it has previously raised concerns about "poor career progression" for black personnel and "excessive informal disciplinary action" faced by black firefighters in Gloucestershire

Oct 16, 2020

A union has put Gloucestershire's fire service "on notice" to tackle racism, saying "words are not enough".

The Fire Brigades Union said Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS) must deliver "systemic change" to crack down on "unacceptable discriminatory behaviours" faced by black, Asian and minority ethnic staff.

Introduce new firefighter headgear. The new headgear should be shaped like the pointy hoods of the Ku Klux Klan, just to irritate these whining and agenda-driven scum. All U.K. fire stations shoud have burning crosses outside of them, and trainee firefighters can practice their fire-extingushing skills on these crosses.

I am joking, of course.
