Intstrumentalists
Who here plays an instrument?
I play electric bass and guitar as a hobby. It would be nice to have others to discuss music with. Scales, intervals, etc. I consider myself at the intermediate level. I know several barre chords shapes, and my notes on the bass fingerboard. Music I prefer is classic rock era mostly, but I'm open to other types. I'm learning to read music, as well. |

For me it's slow at first (if I'm learning via sheet music), then you 'feel' it, if that makes sense. By that I mean like a muscle memory kind of thing, you get a feel for it. At that point you've learned it and won't forget it. I'm blown away by people though who sit down and look at sheet music and just start playing it on the first go. I have to go through it first and mark the sharps and flats, lol. I used to play my dad's Spanish guitar, and was okay at it. Fun to play but a bit too big a neck for my hands. I love the way they sound. I used a quarter as a guitar pick once and broke one of the steel strings--metal on metal=not good. Made an interesting sound, though.

I'm not fast at reading music, either. But I do it anyway b/c it takes practice to get better at it, and you learn the notes on your instrument. I tried piano, but did not do well. I kept playing by memory once I learned the pattern. Instructors do not like that, lol.
I think tab was invented by a jew to keep people from learning the notes on their instrument. Instructors can string a student along for years. I tried it for awhile, and wasn't getting anywhere. What a scam. I learned more online from a web site. I know my scales and my intervals now to make my own bass lines. Sometimes I take them from piano scores. Today's popular music sux so bad b/c young people are being taught that classical European composers are 'bigoted Whites'. |

I learned some Metallica with tab but wasn't trying to really 'learn' guitar. A tarded baboon could play the intro to 'Enter Sandman', though, lol. Quote:
The 'pop' stuff is so repetitive that I almost wonder if it is designed to irritate, like water-boarding. Like it's a joke just to see if anyone will complain.

There is quite a bit of almost modern 1980 onward stuff I like to play but even with a lot of that I give up after 2 minutes when I realise its a 30 second tune repeated 6 times. The Sex Pistols cranked right up on guitar with maximum distortion rocks my boat but I have managed to break my wrists thumbs and fingers to many times and it aint worth the pain.Or Im a bit of a wanker. I could play the piano as soon as I touched it age 4ish.The only problem I had was stealing one so 1981 came along and Casio JVC Philips and a few others were making awesome electronic stuff starting around about £80 and going up to the price of a space shuttle.£80 was a weeks wages for me at the time.Age 17. When I went to buy one I played the final movement of the Ninth Symphony to test it out before buying.Easiest tune ever but fucking awesome. Im like the woman at 2:57 in this vid with real live music be it buskers or orchestras. My whole being feels it even getting a electric buzz in my brain. My favourite and most simple and at the same time most complex instrument not including the uilleann pipes is the Irish whistle / Penny / Tin. The low D whistle I have a Chieftain makes the most haunting emotional sound possible and is essentially a instrument that you have to emotionally connect with otherwise it just wont work.I dont play notes it just moves my fingers as if by magic. Anyone that wants to play something should get a standard D tin whistle.About £5 to £10 for a perfectly great one. I had to be smart and get one hand made so I could have a more mellow tone and trust me the standard ones are just as good if not better as they are more reliable. My hand made sounds sweet but is temperamental so if you think of a tune and want to bang it out while its in your mind you could find the little bitch wants to play games. The Clarke Celtic D Whistle is great and what my hand made is based on.The Clark is more reliable though but not as sweet. The Feadog and Generation are also just as good. You can play everything on them. The drum in this vid is the Bodhran simple and amazing.Good ones about £70. I fucking love the Corrs. |

If it dont resonate with a human they are a nigger or dead. |

That reminds me: it's very annoying to me that Whites who want to listen to something that's not retarded and trashy have no place to go do it in many instances. It's one thing to want to hear a regular rock band, but the Churches and religious music dominate the classical singing landscape--there are some exceptions, but in the USA it is mostly a trash-fest vs. Church, very little in-between. Another thing this makes me think of: a lot of this 'music' is escapism, but the bad kind. It is people running from real feelings. The music is not inducing of real feeling, it's one-dimensional, numb, low mentality stuff. You have to seek out heavily anything else, as the good stuff is practically hidden, while the crud is in plain sight surrounding us.

I am a WN but also an amateur musician.
I play guitar and can play some songs by Metallica, Slayer and Black Sabbath. My style is mostly racialist Heavy Metal but I am influenced by all types of music. Including classical, hip-hop (not Negro ones), and video game music. I used to write lots of lyrics about politics, life, violence, etc, years ago. Nowadays I'm more active in politics than in music. I haven't composed a song in years. Last edited by Skinhead Zack; July 19th, 2018 at 02:23 PM. |
