Russia Steps in with $10 Million Aid to Palestinians after US Pulls Out

The Russian government has stepped in with a grant of $10 million in aid to Palestinian refugees ethnically cleansed from their land by Jews in Palestine, marking yet another step up by that nation against the international Israel-supporting Jewish lobby.


Konstantin Kosachev, who heads Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian Federation Council’s Foreign Affairs Committee, promised both financial and political support for Palestine in future at a meeting with Pierre Krahenbuhl, head of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Moscow yesterday, the Andalou News Agency has reported.

Kosachev also said the “unilateral decisions” of the US government “hinders finding a solution for Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” referring to President Donald Trump’s unilateral recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and relocating the US embassy to Jerusalem last year.

The Russian grant is especially significant given that the Jewish lobby controlled US administration ended all aid to UNRWA in September 2018. UNRWA has defined a Palestinian refugee as someone who was driven out of Palestine by the Jewish terrorist Irgun and other similar movements when Israel was created, and who have a right of return.

This definition has long been rejected by the Jews, and now by the Trump administration as well. The US’s then ambassador to the UN, the Indian-origin Nikki Haley, said at the time that UNRWA “exaggerated the number of Palestinian refugees” and needed to reform.

UNRWA was established by the UN General Assembly in 1949 with the aim of providing aid and protection to Palestinian refugees in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

The new Russian move is likely to spark off a renewed outburst of anti-Russian propaganda in the West’s controlled media, which already hates the Putin government .
