European Union Moves To Outlaw Encrypted Apps

Eric Striker Nov 9, 2020

The European Union is moving to ban end-to-end encrypted communication.

An EU council of ministers resolution spearheaded by French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz of the conservative Austrian People's Party would mandate that apps such as Telegram, Signal, and WhatsApp provide European intelligence services with backdoor access in order to allow them to better monitor the conversations of their citizens.

Encryption is an important tool used by dissidents, journalists and privacy conscious citizens around the world in an age of mass surveillance and strict social media censorship. Millions have started embracing the technology in the West as the rulers of the Anglosphere and Europe continue to lose public confidence and become more repressive.

The excuse being given for this effort is a spate of recent terrorist attacks in France and Austria committed by Islamic extremists. Rather than contend with the complex cultural, ethnic and immigration issues that lead to such violence, Macron, Kurz and the interests they represent see an opportunity to expand their eavesdropping power over their increasingly frightened population.

In recent years, laws passed by liberal governments under the guise of combating foreign Islamic terrorism have been utilized against citizens espousing nationalist, populist and dissident ideas, as well as adversarial political factions.

In the United States, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was founded after 9/11 to combat Al Qaeda operations domestically, but its unconstitutional powers today are largely focused on going after right-wing white men. The FBI's CIA-like power granted to them in the name of counter-terrorism lowered the bar for surveillance via the secret FISA court and was used by permanent bureaucrats to entrap and spy on members of Donald Trump's presidential campaign in 2016.

Figures struggling with low approval ratings like Macron have a vested interest in being able to spy on protest movements like the Yellow Vests, who have largely been shut down by Facebook and forced to migrate to Telegram.

In pursuing these measures, Europe will be following the lead of the Five Eyes intelligence network (United Kingdom, United States, Australia, New Zealand and Canada), which last October put out a call for an international plan to end accessible encryption for ordinary citizens.

In their statement last month, the Department of Justice claimed they were concerned with the proliferation of child pornography over these apps. This rationalization rings hollow since the FBI's budget for combating child exploitation and pornography has remained stagnant over the years and they continue to allocate meager resources to even investigate the record number of reports they receive.

Countries that ban encrypted apps are currently derided by neo-liberal institutions in Europe for being oppressive.

Last January, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled that Russia's ban on Telegram following the app designer's refusal to provide a backdoor to aid in a terrorism investigation was a violation of free expression. Russia has since unbanned the app.

But litigation against a potential ban inside of Europe itself may not be as successful, according to the court's track record.

The ECHR exposed itself as a fraudulent propaganda tool when it ruled in 2019 that expressing skepticism on the "Holocaust" narrative is not a human right, while simultaneously affirming that Armenian genocide denial at the hands of the Turkish government is protected free speech.

France proposes bill to restrict photos and videos that identify police officers

9 November 2020
15:26 CET+01:00

A new security bill that contains a clause seeking to ban footage identifying police officers that is ‘disseminated to harm’ has caused an almighty controversy in France. Here's what is being proposed.

The law proposal, Loi relative à la sécurité globale (law on global security) is a large security bill covering a range of issues regarding policing in France.

At root of the bill's controversy is clause 24, which would criminalise all publishing of photos or videos where a police officer or gendarme could be recognised, if there is an "intent to harm".

Offenders would risk one year in prison and a €45,000 fine.

I guess Macron's police goons don't want to be identified when they commit their crimes, like beating, shooting, blinding and maiming yellow vest protesters and reporters.

EXPLAINED: Why France is debating making the Covid-19 vaccine compulsory?

18 November 2020
16:21 CET+01:00

News that a vaccine for Covid-19 has been created was greeted with joy by many people, so why would France be debating whether to make the vaccine mandatory?

For many people, news that a Covid-19 vaccine is at last on the way signals the end of a long and difficult period of lockdowns and travel bans that have left many unable to see their loved ones for months at a time.

However, no sooner had the news sunk in then there were calls in France to make the vaccine compulsory.

So why would this be necessary?

Well, France has a long history of vaccine scepticism, and it seems that the Covid vaccine is no exception.

Only 59 percent of French people are prepared to get vaccinated, according to an Ipsos opinion poll published in September, compared with 74 percent polled worldwide.

"My fear is that not enough French people will get vaccinated," Prime Minister Jean Castex said at the weekend.

The French Green party MEP Yannick Jadot went further, calling for the vaccine to be compulsory, saying: "We cannot afford to extend the period of lockdown, the period of cultural, social, economic weakening of our country."

Mikael Dolsten, the Jewish immigrant leading Pfizer’s vaccine charge, hopes the US stays a melting pot

BY GABE FRIEDMAN NOVEMBER 16, 2020 6:21 PM

(JTA) — When Mikael Dolsten, the head scientist at Pfizer, heard the news last week that the COVID-19 vaccine that he has been helping to develop for the better part of a year was over 90% effective, he and his colleagues literally leapt with joy at a corporate office in Connecticut.
(...)
But when Dolsten took time to reflect on the development, he also saw it as a proud moment for Jewish immigrants like himself who have contributed to American scientific innovation.

“A lot of the great breakthroughs in America have come from people that immigrated,” he said, pointing out the example of Albert Einstein and others. “There has been a strong Jewish tradition around contributing to humanity and a strong tradition within medicine.”

Dolsten, who moved to the New York area from Sweden in 2004, is far from the only Jewish immigrant in his field. In fact, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla is a Jew from Thessaloniki, Greece. The chief medical officer for Moderna, a competing drugmaker that announced Monday that its COVID-19 vaccine was nearly 95% effective, is an Israeli immigrant named Tal Zaks.

Police use water cannon against protesters in Paris amid clashes over Global Security Bill (VIDEOS)

21 Nov, 2020 17:31

The Eiffel Tower was the scene of the latest unrest in the French capital directed at the law, which makes it illegal for the public and journalists to share images of police officers

The rally, which went on amid a heightened police presence at the Trocadero Square near the Eiffel Tower, was organized by Reporters without Borders, Amnesty International as well as other human rights groups and journalist unions. Opponents of the Global Security Bill insist that it’s a major infringement on the freedom of the press.

Activists carried banners decrying the law, chanted slogans, while also singing La Marseillaise, the French national anthem. Some in the crowd sported yellow vests, a symbol of the larger protest movement against economic injustice across France.

Thousands of protesters march in France against security law that bans filming police (PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

28 Nov, 2020 16:18

Protesters throughout France have shown up for rallies against a controversial draft law on public safety, under which filming a police officer on duty may result in a hefty fine. Critics say it fosters impunity for misconduct.

The protests were organized in many large French cities, including Paris, Marseilles, Lyon, Brest and Nice, with thousands participating despite Covid-19 concerns. The main event is happening in the Place de la République in the capital.

The demonstrators are voicing their anger over a draft law on public security, which was approved by the lower chamber of the parliament this week. Article 24 of the bill bans filming of police officers on duty with an intention to harm them. Lawmakers who voted for the bill are among the officials who were shamed by the protesters.

Paris protesters torch cars, set BANK on fire amid clashes over bill slammed as ‘ban on filming police brutality’ (VIDEOS)

29 Nov, 2020 00:05

Violent clashes and arson have erupted in Paris amid mass protests against police brutality and a draft law that would ban filming officers “in certain circumstances,” after a video emerged of cops beating a black music producer.

Thousands of people rallied against the controversial bill in more than 70 French cities on Saturday, with the organizers claiming over half a million participants and authorities estimating the number at around 150,000. The daytime rallies went off peacefully, but by early evening clashes erupted in multiple cities, including Rennes, Lille, Bordeaux and Lyon.

@The Local.fr

Wow, no, no. This is BULLSHIT.

Even if every single Frenchman got vaccinated, they would STILL say they had another 74% yet to vaccinate, and that is what they will say regardless.

The Plandemic has fuck all to do with a virus.

French govt DROPS controversial bill curbing filming of police in major u-turn, new version to be written

30 Nov, 2020 15:41 / Updated 5 hours ago

The speaker of French President Emmanuel Macron's ruling party has said the government is dropping part of a controversial bill curbing the right to film on-duty police – which drew huge public anger – and will re-draft it.

Christophe Castaner, president of La Republique en Marche in the National Assembly, told the press on Monday that the government recognized "misunderstandings" around article 24 of the global security bill.

Castaner said article 24, which prohibits the filming of on-duty police officers, of the law on comprehensive security would be removed and rewritten for future submission.

"In no case do we want to prohibit the filming of security forces in intervention."

The legislation was given the green light by the French parliament last Tuesday, when France's lower house backed the complete global security bill by a majority of 388 votes to 104, with 66 abstentions.

The government has come under considerable pressure over the inclusion of article 24 within the new proposed security law, and had sought to assure people and bodies – including the European Commission – that the bill would not impact press freedoms.

Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin had previously claimed that the aim of the article is to “protect those who protect us.”

And as I have pointed out before, France's shitbag interior minister Gerald Darmanin is a jew.

France: Prominent Academics and Macron Administration Attack American Anti-Racist Ideology As "Anti-White"

Eric Striker Nov 27, 2020

Emmanuel Macron is making enemies in the American press after his left-liberal party, La République En Marche!, attempted to pass a bill that would withhold funding from academic institutions that preach values alien to the French Republic.

This rule was defeated after pressure from prominent figures, but it is one of a number of radical reforms Macron and party are trying to slam through the Senate.

With the 2022 election over the horizon and massive pressure from populists to his left, right and in the streets (Yellow Vests), Macron has reacted to the killing of school teacher Samuel Paty by a Salafist fanatic by trying to rebrand himself as a law and order anti-Islam strongman.

What is most interesting about his "transformation" is his administration, which campaigned on a center-left Clintonian platform, overt hostility to local "social justice warriors" and an increasingly De Gaullian, anti-American pivot.

Earlier in the month, Macron's Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer railed against the alien infiltration of American "Critical Race Theory" in the French social sciences. This is in the context of Black Lives Matter style violence that engulfed France over the summer, which surprised and angered the population.

100 prominent French academics signed a letter affirming Blanquer's statement, and calling for the French people to defeat an "American" ideology that preaches hatred of "whites" (a word that, unlike Trump, they explicitly used) and the indigenous Gallo-Romans of France. While the academics and Blanquer primarily blame Saudi-funded Islamist preachers for the death of Samuel Paty, they also believe US influence on their intellectuals has made it socially acceptable to murder white people.

In an interview with a French journal, Blanquer reiterated this sentiment, "There is a fight to be waged against an intellectual matrix coming from American universities and intersectional theses that want to essentialize communities and identities, at the antipodes of the Republican model, which postulates the equality between human beings, independently of their characteristics of origin, sex, religion. It is the breeding ground for a fragmentation of societies that converges with the Islamic model."

Macron has also been working to pass a number of laws he says are needed to combat crime, including one that would potentially criminalize filming and identifying police officers. This is being seen as a response to left-wing activists have as of late been filming police and editing the encounters to take away context while they arrest or struggle with individual black criminals and illegal immigrants rioting in their encampments. The downside of this law is that it will likely be used to protect police officers who coommit brutal acts against legitimate mass protests, which the exasperated Macron administration is bracing itself for in the next year or two.

Macron's new costume appears intended to totally coopt Marine Le Pen, who is known for her fixation on Islam. Many of Macron's aggressive new legislative proposals would be controversial and decried as "fascist" if tabled by Le Pen, but with a crime wave sweeping the country that the media is covering up, many leftists and liberals are staying quiet and letting Macron do what he thinks he has to do to prevent Le Pen.

A 2022 run-off is likely to be between Macron and Le Pen, meaning that leftists and upper class metropolitans to vote for Macron, even if in his desperation, he is forced to placate voters and prosecute them for hate speech for filming a cop or shut down their gender studies and decolonization classes.

In the end however, Macron's attempt to use "Trumpist" style politics -- make a lot of noise that rustles the feathers and triggers journalists, NGOs and other despised ruling class entities while not accomplishing anything substantial -- could fail. Most of the "law and order" and attacks on the Judeo-left have been superficial and pulled back last minute.

As the anti-Islam-liberal playbook grows obsolete, Macron has been leaning into attacks on America. which is new in 21st century European politics. How serious Macron is can be debated, but the US Jewish press has suddenly started to treat him like Viktor Orban or Vladimir Putin.

People outside of the United States, even centrist upholders of the liberal new world order, are starting to express how disturbed they are by the genocidal hatred of white people Jews through the Washington power structure implement at home and export abroad.

A thousands-strong protest march against the French government’s draft security bill in Paris has ended up in chaos as groups of “rioters” torched cars, broke windows and clashed with police responding with tear gas.

Thousands of demonstrators set out from Porte des Lilas on the northeastern edge of the French capital on Saturday and headed to the Place de la République in the city center. The marchers sought to express their discontent over police violence and President Emmanuel Macron’s security policy plans.

Disallowing photos of police commiting crime. Banning encryption (private communication) etc.. these are not laws, this are outright communist dictates. Australian is doing the same sort of shit! It's JEWISH COMMUNISM. We need to fucking end them.

Dozens arrested and 8 officers injured in violent Paris protests - French interior minister

5 Dec, 2020 21:35 / Updated 1 day ago

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said on Saturday that 64 people had been arrested and eight officers injured during violent anti-government protests.
Darmanin praised police officers for facing down “very violent individuals” and said their courage “commands the respect of all.”

Thousands took to the streets to protest police brutality and a security bill that would limit the ability to photograph and videotape police officers while they are on duty, as well as provide law enforcement with more surveillance tools.

Police clash with protesters at Paris security law demo

Demonstrators against France's draft security law clashed with police in Paris on Saturday, with at least 81 protestors seized by 4pm.

The third consecutive weekend of protests against France's new security law began at La Place du Châtelet by the river Seine at 2.30pm. Marchers then made their way slowly towards La Place de la République.

Article 24, the most (but not the only) controversial clause is currently being rewritten, although it had already passed through the National Assembly.

French interior minister questioned over rape allegations

15 December 2020
10:35 CET+01:00

French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin was questioned by judges on Monday over rape allegations that prompted outcry from women's organisations when he was appointed the country's "top cop" in July.

The minister's lawyers told AFP he had spoken to two investigating magistrates "at his own request" over accusations of rape, sexual harassment and abuse of trust.

A woman has accused Darmanin of raping her in 2009 after she sought his help to have a criminal record expunged while he was a legal affairs adviser with the UMP, the predecessor of France's main right-wing party, the Republicans.

"I'll help you" but "you'll have to help me as well," Darmanin said, according to her account.

He maintains they had consensual sex, but the allegations prompted feminist groups to picket his public appearances during his first weeks as interior minister.

Did France's Emmanuel Macron break his own Covid rules?

By Henri Astier
BBC News

Published 4 hours ago

As he begins a week of self-isolation, France's Emmanuel Macron is facing questions over the precautions he may or may not have taken in the lead-up to his testing positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.

The president released a selfie video on Friday, saying he was feeling fine but his work had "slowed down a little because of the virus".

Over the previous week President Macron attended a number of high-profile events, including an EU summit and a working dinner with political heavyweights at the Élysée Palace on Wednesday night.

Many of the officials and foreign leaders he met have themselves begun self-isolating too.

Mr Macron's office strongly denies claims that he acted recklessly. In his video he said he had caught the virus despite taking great care, through "no doubt a moment of carelessness, a moment of bad luck too".

Paris area Jewish family assaulted after playing Hebrew-language songs in their car

DECEMBER 18, 2020 11:40 PM

(JTA) — French police have arrested two adults and two minors suspected of an anti-Semitic hate crime in which they allegedly verbally assaulted a Jewish family near Paris in their car.

The incident happened Thursday in the northern Paris suburb of Aubervilliers, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin wrote on Twitter Friday. No one was hurt in the incident, Le Parisien reported.

“Yesterday night, during Hanukkah, a family from Aubervilliers was assaulted because they are Jewish. In France, in 2020. The perpetrators were apprehended very swiftly by the law enforcement. They will have to be punished in relation to the seriousness of these facts,” Darmanin wrote.

Initial reports in the French media said the incident happened at 8:40 pm and that the perpetrators screamed anti-Semitic insults, including “f**ck the Jews,” rocked the car back and forth and hurled bottles at it, the RTL broadcaster reported. Prior to the assault, music with songs in Hebrew was heard in the family’s car, Le Parisien reported.

Police investigating ‘racist’ anti-Semitic tweets targeting Miss France runner-up

21 Dec, 2020 15:55

Police have announced that they are investigating a wave of anti-Semitic tweets aimed at 21-year-old April Benayoum, the runner-up in the Miss France competition who revealed during the competition that her father is Israeli.

Paris prosecutors revealed they are looking into the “racist insults” and “instigation of race hatred” targeting Benayoum. This follows the model being defended by multiple activist groups and politicians in the wake of Saturday’s event.

“I am deeply shocked by the flood of anti-Semitic insults against Miss Provence,” Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin previously said. “We will not let this stand. Shame on the authors.”

The International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism (Licra) said the backlash against Benayoum turned Twitter into an “anti-Semitic cesspool.”

The Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France called the insults “vile and unacceptable.”

Coronavirus-struck Macron’s health remains stable, French presidency says

22 Dec, 2020 15:49

Macron tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday and went into quarantine at the presidential retreat La Lanterne in Versailles. The quarantine will last for seven days, in line with national health authorities’ recommendations.

“The health condition of the president remains stable,” an official at the French presidency told Reuters on Tuesday.

Macron said in a video on Friday that he was doing well but acknowledged that he had to slow down his activities due to ongoing symptoms.

The Elysee Palace said next day that some Covid-19 symptoms “in no way prevent him from carrying out his duties.”
