The parents of a transgender 16-year-old girl have become the first known family to be investigated by Texas officials under a new order from Gov. Greg Abbott that declares giving trans children hormone therapy is “child abuse,” according to a lawsuit by the ACLU.

The child’s mom, who works for Texas’ children’s services agency, came under the scrutiny of the department after she went to her supervisors on Feb. 23 and asked them how the new directive would affect her job, the ACLU suit said.

Last month, Abbott and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton ordered that state children’s services agents investigate parents of trans children for child abuse for allowing them to take hormones that block puberty and have “sex change procedures.”

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has hit out at those outraged by drag queens hosting educational events for young children, saying that they should be in 'every school'.

Dana Nessel spoke out on Wednesday against 'fake issues' such as drag queens hosting reading and dancing events at schools and libraries that are dividing people, adding that 'drag queens are fun' and 'make everything better.'

'You know what is not a problem for kids who are seeking a good education? Drag queens,' Nessel said during a speech at a civil rights conference, reports The Detroit News.

Boston Children's Hospital doesn't want the public to know just how young their patients seeking "gender affirming" treatment are. Their application forms for genital surgery state that biological boys seeking "vaginoplasty" must be 17, biological girls seeking hysterectomy and phalloplasty 18, and girls seeking "chest reconstruction," or double mastectomies of healthy breasts, must be 15, though there's wiggle room if the request has parental approval.

Yet when The Post Millennial reported on this, along with many Twitter accounts, Boston Children's balked. The response to Boston Children's Hospital's apparent promotion of medicalized gender transition for minors, along with genital surgeries for young adults, was shocking to many.

NBC reported how dangerous they felt it was to Boston Children's Hospital for the public to become aware of their advocacy of facilitating transitions of children, teens and young adults, through drugs and surgeries, and stated that employees there are reeling after "false claims" about the hospital's "treatment of young transgender people."

The Post Millennial reported that Boston Children's Hospital allowed vaginoplasties on 17-year-old males, phalloplasties on 18-year-old females, and double mastectomies for 15-year-olds. The hospital also gives young teens puberty blockers. This is clear per their eligibility requirements, found on their website.







In the wake of the backlash, they took down their videos in which doctors spoke in glowing terms about the process of removing a healthy young adult's uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes and cervix, and about how parents can tell a child is trans even before they can talk, as playing with "opposite sex" toys is an indicator of the child feeling distress in their natural body.

NBC reports that the PR office at Boston Children's Hospital "sent an email to employees with guidance on how to respond to harassment and threats earlier this week, citing an 'increase of threatening and aggressive' phone calls and emails sent to the hospital commenting on treatment of transgender patients."

The University of San Francisco Benioff Children's Hospital's Child and Adolescent Gender Center (UCSF) is offering treatments through its transgender health center to children as young as two. Speaking on a promotional video to potential patients and their families, mental health director Diane Ehrensaft said that they "see children as young as two and as old as 25." Ehrensaft describes her own child as "gender creative."

"We support children and their families through their social, medical, and/or surgical transition," says UCSF's Child and Adolescent Gender Center (CAGC) website.

The ushering of young children into trans medicine is done in the "absence of solid evidence" on the use of puberty-blocking drugs, hormones, and surgeries they administer to minors, they rely on the "opinions of innovators and thought leaders." This was written in an editor's note on 2016 guidelines on "Health considerations for gender non-conforming children and transgender adolescents" penned by Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy for UCSF.

Olson-Kennedy has actively worked to deplatform those who detransition from gender identity from having their stories told.

On Aug. 31, the California state Senate passed a bill that would allow courts in California to take custody of minors from out of state who come to the Golden State seeking gender transition surgeries and cross-sex hormones, even if these actions go against the wishes of the minors’ parents.

Legal experts and children’s advocates warn that the measure, which awaits Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom’s signature to become law, is almost certainly unconstitutional, would cause severe harm to the health and well-being of children, and would egregiously violate parental custody rights.

The bill, SB 107, was put forward by state Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco, and was passed with “overwhelming Democratic support.” Wiener has justified the measure because of laws passed in states that bar minors who identify as transgender from taking cross-sex hormones and undergoing surgeries to remove healthy organs, which he characterizes as “brutal attacks on transgender children.”

However, the American College of Pediatricians has pointed out that 85% of minors who suffer from gender confusion have their feelings resolved by adulthood, and studies show that undergoing gender-transition surgeries and using puberty-blocking hormones can lead to increased depression and suicide.

Meanwhile, a host of legal experts have expressed grave concerns about the bill’s legality and consequences for children and parental rights.
