Os Trapalhões - "Didi, The Husband of Wonder Woman"

Program by the Brazilian humorous group Os Trapalhões.

Dedé, Mussum and Zacarias die of envy when they learn that Didi will marry Wonder Woman, played by Brazilian actress Tereza Mascarenhas.

Beginning of the dialogue:

Dedé: '' I don't believe it, I can't believe it ... what did Wonder Woman see in Didi, man? ''

Mussum: '' She didn't see it, because if she had seen it, she wouldn't have married! ''

Tereza Mascarenhas has worked on very famous Brazilian TV shows, such as Os Trapalhões and Planeta dos Homens.

Tereza Mascarenhas also acted in films, soap operas and series; I saw her in the soap opera '' Sol de Verão '' and in the film 'Os Trapalhões na Guerra dos Planetas'.

In ''Os Trapalhões na Guerra dos Planetas'', Tereza Mascarenhas plays Mara, Zacarias's girlfriend. The film is a Brazilian parody of the classic Star Wars; outside Brazil, this film is known by the title of Brazilian Star Wars.

These are some scenes from the film; I think you will recognize Tereza Mascarenhas.

Note: Most of the cars that appear in the scenes are from the Brazilian automobile factory Gurgel, which had a lot of support from the Brazilian Military Government at that time.

Yes, I did spot Tereza Mascarenhas.

The video reminds me more of a Dr. Who episode than Star Trek or Star Wars with the sound and special effects, etc. I almost expected to see Daleks appear. Their car looks like it was based on the Kubelwagen. Did some German engineers go to work for the Gurgel company after the war? Wasn't the last Volkswagen Beetle produced in Brazil, too?

I knew you would recognize Tereza Mascarenhas ...

And about the cars of the Brazilian factory Gurgel:

Gurgel

Car manufacturer

João Augusto Conrado do Amaral Gurgel (Franca, March 26, 1926 - São Paulo, January 30, 2009) was a Brazilian engineer and industrialist in the automobile industry. In 1969 he set up the Gurgel factory, with the proposal to produce 100% national vehicles.

Description

Gurgel Motores S / A was a Brazilian automobile manufacturer, developed by engineer João Augusto Conrado do Amaral Gurgel. With the proposal of producing 100% national vehicles, in 1969 the entrepreneur set up the car factory that bears his name on Avenida do Cursino, in São Paulo.

Gurgel was founded on September 1, 1969 by the late mechanical engineer and electrician João Augusto Conrado do Amaral Gurgel, who always dreamed of the genuinely Brazilian car. Gurgel started producing karts and minicars for children in the early 1960s.

Founder: João Augusto Amaral Gurgel

Foundation: September 1, 1969

Headquarters: São Paulo, São Paulo

Extinction: 1996

Previous type: Publicly traded

Closing: September 30, 1996

Regarding Beetle, it seems to me that production has ended in Mexico.

She is in her 60s now, just like Lynda Carter, who will be 70 this July 23 (same as Gisele in 1980) But we are admiring them for how they looked back in the day.

I didn't know Tereza Mascarenhas's personal details, but I had already noticed by her accent that she is Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro.

I researched better and she is born in Ipanema, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

The accent is unmistakable.

I like the 1970s "big hair" many women wore then. The second passport-type photo of Tereza looks like a lot of girls in my high school yearbook.

Yes, Comrade Ray, and I am also a fan of these long hair from the 1970s.

Even more with the beauty of Teresa ...

And the black and white photo is of Teresa's participation in a photo novel magazine.

After her last film, "A Paixão de Jacobina", in 2002, Teresa simply did not appear to the public anymore.

Apparently, she became a housewife in Rio de Janeiro.

I don't know details about her marriage and children, but this is the lovely little Brazilian, granddaughter of Tereza Mascarenhas:
