‘You Guys Are Great’ — Joe Biden Flatters Wall Street at NYC Fundraiser

Former Vice President Joe Biden attended a fundraiser with Wall Street executives in New York City on Monday, even flattering his hosts a bit as he went through his stump speech.

“You know, you guys are great but Wall Street didn’t build America,” he said. “You guys are incredibly important but you didn’t build America. Ordinary, hard-working, middle-class people given half the chance is what built America.”

Biden attended a fundraiser of about 180 guests at the Manhattan home of Jim Chanos, the president and founder of a short-selling investment firm Kynikos Associates. Billionaire John Catsimatidis was spotted at the fundraiser as well as Robert Wolf, founder of 32 Advisors, and Michael Kempner, CEO of MWWPR were also spotted.

Other important moguls included Bruce Mosler, chairman of global brokerage at Cushman & Wakefield, Hal Fetner, CEO of Fetner Properties, and Kenneth Fisher, a co-managing partner at Fisher Brothers, according to CNBC.

Hunter Biden’s alleged love child debacle just the latest in string of suspicious incidents

The former in-laws became lovers in 2017, and the couple received support from dad Joe and his wife, Jill, who told Page Six at the time that the family was “lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness.”

The love affair didn’t last, as Hallie and Hunter split in April.

Now, revelations about a potential love child could complicate things for the family. Roberts’ child was born while Hunter and Hallie were still together.

Democrats call Biden ‘unchanging’ and a ‘disaster waiting to happen’

Twenty-two of Joe Biden’s rivals on Saturday tried to make the case that he’s not the best choice for 2020, mostly without mentioning his name.

Online, critics were less decorous.

Former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel, one of just two Democratic candidates who skipped the South Carolina Democratic convention, lambasted Biden as “unchanging, unapologetic, unaware” for Biden’s recent comments praising his own work with segregationist Senate Democrats in the 1970s.

Gravel tweeted that the former vice president “is a disaster waiting to happen. If you are serious about beating Trump, you need to be serious about beating Joe and giving us a serious progressive for the White House.”

Cory Booker: Joe Biden’s ‘boy’ comment ‘hurtful’ to African Americans

Sen. Cory Booker acknowledged that he and Joe Biden had a “constructive conversation” but said his fellow Democratic presidential hopeful’s use of the racially pejorative term “boy” in describing his ability to work with segregationist senators in the past was “hurtful” to the African-American community.

“This is about him invoking a terrible power dynamic that he showed a lack of understanding or insensitivity to by invoking this idea that he was called ‘son’ by white segregationists who, yeah, they see in him their son,” the New Jersey Democrat said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.”

Booker said he and Biden, who he has a “tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for,” had a private conversation last Wednesday night but he felt he has a responsibility to “be candid with him, to speak truth to power.”

Leading 2020 Democrats Unified on Amnesty for Illegals Ahead of Debate


Ahead of the first debate for 2020 Democrat presidential primary contenders, the leading Democrats among the pack of 24 candidates all effectively share the same views on immigration as they demand amnesty for all illegal aliens and more legal immigration to the U.S. to satisfy the needs of big business.

From slogans like “Diversity is our strength” to claims that the U.S. is a “nation of immigrants,” the top three Democrat candidates largely agree on wanting to expand rights to all illegal aliens, driving more legal immigration to the country beyond the current annual total of about 1.2 million, and denouncing President Trump’s high-wage, low-immigration economic model.

In a Miami Herald op-ed this week, Biden released his blueprint for America’s immigration system which begins by declaring that the 3.5 million illegal aliens who are enrolled and eligible for President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program “are Americans.”

“We are a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants … that starts by recognizing that DREAMers are Americans, and Congress needs to make it official,” Biden wrote. ‘The millions of undocumented people in the United States can only be brought out of the shadows through fair treatment, not ugly threats.”

Aside from giving amnesty to all illegal aliens, Biden said it is the “obligation” of Americans to provide all illegal aliens with free healthcare.

Biden has also supported the President George W. Bush-era policy that states “any willing worker” should be allowed to come to the U.S. to compete against America’s working and middle class for jobs.

“Instead of sending [foreign graduates] home, we should be a stamping a green card on their diploma as they walk across the stage,” Biden said in 2013. “Literally, I mean this literally, not figuratively, literally … we’ve also proposed adding additional H-1B visas so that American employers can hire the best and the brightest no matter where they come from if they can’t be found here.”

At the U.S.-Mexico border, Biden opposes building a wall to stop illegal immigration.

Night 2 Debate Preview: Will Joe Biden Be Asked About Son’s Business Deals in China, Ukraine?

New poll shows Biden slipping after first Democratic debate

Joe Biden may be losing momentum in the 2020 Democratic presidential contest as a new poll shows the former vice president declining in support — and Sens. Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren gaining ground.

Biden received 22% of support from registered Democrats in a CNN poll released on Monday, a decline in 10 percentage points from the last poll of its kind conducted in May.

That left the one-time Delaware senator just five points above California senator Harris, who had a combative exchange with Biden during last week’s debate in Miami.

Harris had doubled her support in the June survey — jumping from 8% to 17%.

Biden admits busing questions surprised him at debate

Vice President Joe Biden attempted to explain away his sputtering debate response to questions about his opposition to federally mandated busing Thursday by claiming the attacks surprised him.

“It came out of nowhere,” the longtime politician told reporters in Iowa at an Independence Day parade. “It didn’t seem to be something at all consistent with anything that I’d been accused of before.”

He added: “But I think the end of the day … we need to be talking about the future.”

President Obama’s number two made the statement as he continued his back and forth with 2020 Democratic primary opponent California Sen. Kamala Harris, over his statements lauding his relationship with now-deceased southern Senators who supported segregation and his prior opposition to federal busing legislation.

The fiery exchanges between the two during the Democratic debate in Miami last week have dominated media coverage of the presidential race for days and given Harris’ campaign a badly needed boost in fundraising and the polls.

“You also worked with [those segregationist senators] to oppose busing,” Harris told Biden directly on the stage. “And there was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools and she was bused to school every day. And that little girl was me.”

Joe Biden Pledges to Cut Incarceration Rate by More Than 50%

Former Vice President Joe Biden pledged to cut the U.S. incarceration rate by more than 50 percent if elected president in 2020.

Biden, who has faced criticism for authoring the 1994 crime bill, made the promise after being confronted by an ACLU activist while campaigning in South Carolina on Sunday.

“The ACLU has a roadmap for cutting incarceration by 50 percent through reforms that have been endorsed by the right and the left, including four other presidential candidates and many conservatives,” the activists said to Biden, according to a video made public by the group. “Do you commit to cutting incarceration by 50 percent if elected.”

Even prior to the question being finished, Biden jumped to say he would he cut the rate by “more than” just 50 percent.

Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed this week with a straight face that he is “more in step” with the left’s woke “lingo” than any other Democrat running for president.

Biden has praised the civility of segregationists and left himself wide open to being cold-cocked by Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) on busing and race issues during the presidential debate because he stubbornly refused to apologize or walk back his remarks before the debates. It took Biden two weeks to finally apologize last weekend in South Carolina.

CNN’s Chris Cuomo told Biden that he has to find a way to bring Democrats together and observed that “it seems the fundamental tension now” is whether Biden is “the right fit for this party at this time.”

The CNN anchor, whose brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, is a Biden ally, told Biden: “They’re coming at you not on policy but the way you discuss policy, the phrases you use–that you are not in step with their lingo, let alone where they want to go.”

Biden responded: “Well, let me tell you. I think I’m more in step with the lingo than any of them.”

Biden’s doubling down on ObamaCare — lies included

President Barack Obama’s claim about keeping your doctor under ObamaCare was the 2013 PolitiFact “Lie of the Year.” Now ex-veep Joe Biden’s echoed claim about his own health care reform bids to be the “Lie of the Decade.”

“If you like your health care plan, your employer-based plan, you can keep it,” Biden insisted Monday as he laid out his proposal to “build” on ObamaCare. That’s exactly what Obama vowed, even as his plan plainly ensured that millions would lose their coverage.

Biden’s plan is also sure to kill existing coverage: By extending federal subsidies to everyone, no matter how much they make, it guarantees that some employers will terminate their policies and offload costs onto the government.
