Smile Fav . horror movie

Sorry , I admit that the "King of Pop" on his own was already "frightening" enough . .

. . he wouldn't even have needed to make that "Thriller" video . .

But . . what's your favourite horror movie ?

Mine would be . .

Hellbound ( Chuck Norris ) Part 1

Hellbound - Hellraiser ( Part 2 )

Friday 13th

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

What are yours ?

Any horror film fans here ?

By the way , I might add that I had a "trick" in my youth ( that's yours truly Coldy telling out of school now ) . . .

If you wish to . .ahemm . get closer to a female and are (((not really sure))) . . invite her to a scary movie . .

Not 'Scary Movie' in that sense though . .

lol

When the 'horror' comes , sometimes more , sometimes less , chances are she will unconditionally cuddle in with you . .

See how that works ?

No , but seriously . . .

I agree that certain movies shouldn't be given free for youth . . .

. . yet some people need their 'kick' ( from time to time . . )

How are horror movies received here ?

In college we had free movies for students with an ID. One year there was a festival of old scary movies. The girls who hadn't seen them didn't think they'd be scared. HA!!! There were lots of screams, hugging boy friends, and holding each other like we were fused together!! The parties afterward were the drunken, and I mean falling off the lawn while lying down types and all around debauchery.

I saw the title of this thread Fav Horror Movie and thought to myself "Hmmm...there's a new horror movie called "Fav"? Hadn't heard of it.

Seriously, I must harken back to my youth when one of the three main stations in Chapel Hill (probably nationwide) showed the horror movies of the thirties--Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein-- early on Saturday mornings. I would set my alarm clock and get up and go downstairs alone to watch them every weekend.

They're the spookiest, all in black, white, shadows, and lots of spooky music.

But some other good ones from long ago:. The Spiral Staircase, The Haunting, The Uninvited.

I'm old fashioned. I like my spooky movies in black and white.

I consider the original Alien as much a horror movie as a science fiction movie.

The sequels after 1986's Aliens were total garbage, however.

More a supernatural ghost story, this movie I found to be more like what it would be like to encounter real ghosts than any other movie I've ever seen, then or since:

It's based on the Henry James novella (1898) and quite creepy:
