Default Stolen capitals are not subject to reparation

Stolen capitals are not subject to reparation

"...daß zusammengeraubte Kapitalien kein Wiedergutmachungsobjekt"

"looted capitals are not subject to compensation."

From the GDR parliament resolution on the discussion on compensation for the "Jewish victims of Fascism," 1953.

The same resolution states that "any desire to equate the Zionist rich and agents with the Jewish victims of fascism" must be abandoned.

Mario Kessler writes about this in his book "Anti-Semitism and the labor movement".

As we can see, in 1953 there were no "victims of the Holocaust," but only "Jewish victims of Fascism" and "Zionist rich men and agents".

It should be noted that since the late 1940s there were campaigns against cosmopolitans - meaning Jews - as politically dubious elements in the USSR. They were continued in the early 50's, such as the Slansky trial in Prague in 1952, the trial against the Jewish doctors of Stalin (the "assassination plot") in the USSR, the trial against Paul Merker in the GDR, and mainly the purge of the ruling Socialist United Party of Germany of "Trotskyist and Zionist elements" - the latter meant that Jews were deprived of their positions and functions due to the fact that as Jews they were entirely identified with the politics of Israel and were thus considered untrustworthy. Because of this attitude a great many Jews and Jewish women left the GDR. Only 380 Jews and Jewish women made claims for compensation in 1989.
