Default Tesla’s Elon Musk surpasses Amazon’s Jeff Bezos as the world's richest man.

I hear the buyers of Tesla stock are largely small retail investors spending their stimulus checks, one reads that many of them are using a new cellphone app called Robinhood, wonder if that app is still recommending TSLA. Other people opine that the Federal Reserve is buying Tesla stocks, I don´t know why the FED would do that.

Tesla could be huge if their cars were more affordable for regular people. That's what Henry Ford did for the automobile.

I'm not opposed to electric cars, they actually got potential for more power than combustion engines.

If they start making electric trucks with enough horsepower and torque to replace gasoline V8s and diesel engines at a comparable price point, then why not?

I heard those new Hummer EVs got 1000hp, and a ton of torque.

According to the Forbes list of richest people from March 2019 Elon Musk was in 40th place with a net worth of $22 billion. Two years later he is worth over $190 billion. That is a massive stock rise in a short time.

No one in the 20th century ever could've guessed that the richest man in the US - as well as the world - would turn out to be an African-American.

My grandfather is actually an american from Minnesota, and my mom was born in Canada

My grandfather moved with all his kids nd my mom to South Africa
And on the dad side which is equally fascinating:

Harry Musk 1863-1917 - Ancestry®https://www.ancestry.co.uk › harry-musk-24-3fpz36k
Born in Exning, Suffolk, England on 13 Sep 1863 to William Exning Bridgeman and Eliza Musk. Harry Musk married Lucy Frances Champion and had 6 children.

Also his mom's name, Haldeman.

Quote:
The name Haldeman comes from Oldham, in Lancashire. This was a town near the city of Manchester; it has since been absorbed by that city. The place-name Oldham is derived from the Old English elements old, which means old, and ham, which means farm.

This proves that Elon Musk is a native-born African:

Therefore, Elon Musk IS the richest African-American in the USA, as well as the richest person in the world - just as I stated.

This has to be the most ridiculous comment I have ever seen on a racial realists' forum.

Elon Musk keeps forgetting Bernie Sanders is still alive

14 Nov, 2021 19:37 / Updated 5 hours ago

Billionaire Elon Musk responded to a call by Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) for the wealthy to pay their “fair share” by claiming to forget the 80-year-old democratic socialist was alive.

“We must demand that the extremely wealthy pay their fair share. Period,” Sanders tweeted on Saturday, to which Musk replied, “I keep forgetting you’re still alive.”

He followed up by floating the idea of selling Tesla stock. Musk previously sold billions in shares after putting out a poll asking if he should sell 10% of his holdings, to which over 50% of people said yes.

Not quite

by Justin Raimondo

(...) Yet his real foreign policy record is closer to Hillary’s than he likes to admit. Yes, he opposed the Iraq war – and then proceeded to routinely vote to fund that war: ditto Afghanistan. In 2003, at the height of the Iraq war hysteria, then Congressman Sanders voted for a congressional resolution hailing Bush:

“Congress expresses the unequivocal support and appreciation of the nation to the President as Commander-in-Chief for his firm leadership and decisive action in the conduct of military operations in Iraq as part of the ongoing Global War on Terrorism.”

As the drumbeat for war with Iran got louder, Rep. Sanders voted for the Iran Freedom Support Act, which codified sanctions imposed since the fall of the Shah and handed out millions to “pro-freedom” groups seeking the overthrow of the Tehran regime. The Bush administration, you’ll recall, was running a regime change operation at that point which gave covert support to Jundullah, a terrorist group responsible for murdering scores of Iranian civilians. Bush was also canoodling with the Mujahideen-e-Khalq, a weirdo cult group once designated as a terrorist organization (a label lifted by Hillary Clinton’s State Department after a well-oiled public relations campaign).

Sanders fulsomely supported the Kosovo war: when shocked antiwar activists visited his Senate office in Burlington, Vermont, he called the cops on them. At a Montpelier public meeting featuring a debate on the war, Bernie argued passionately in favor of Bill Clinton’s “humanitarian” intervention, and pointedly told hecklers to leave if they didn’t like what he had to say.

As a Senator, his votes on civil liberties issues show a distinct pattern. While he voted against the Patriot Act, in 2006 he voted in favor of making fourteen provisions of the Act permanent, including those that codified the FBI’s authority to seize business records and carry out roving wiretaps. Sanders voted no on the legislation establishing the Department of Homeland Security, but by the time he was in the Senate he was regularly voting for that agency’s ever-expanding budget.
(...)
The Ron Paul of the left? Listen, I know Ron Paul. Ron Paul is a friend of mine – and, Senator, you’re no Ron Paul!

That's really amazing Hugo, thanks, really explains a lot including a lot of minor details. I had always thought Peter Thiel was friends with Musk, and even contains the reason why Musk once looked so confused at who Nikola Tesla was.

Kremlin discusses potential Putin-Musk meeting

17 Dec, 2021 17:10 / Updated 4 hours ago

Russian President Vladimir Putin and South African-born billionaire Elon Musk could have a long-awaited meeting if the world's richest man steps up and develops business interests in the country, the Kremlin has indicated.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that the president has always been interested in meeting with foreigners who are keen to invest in Russia, adding that this could include Musk.

“Without a doubt, the president is open to discussions with foreign businessmen,” Peskov explained. “There are regular discussions, practically every year, with French entrepreneurs, Germans, those with a large presence in our market. You and I know that Elon Musk isn’t in our market, but we hope that with time, he will become interested in it. And then, a meeting with the president isn’t out of the question.”

Tesla pauses crash-risky gaming feature amid probe

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has said Tesla will stop allowing games to be played in moving vehicles, following the announcement of an investigation by the auto safety agency.

The auto safety regulator announced this week that they were investigating a feature in Tesla cars that allows drivers to play games on a touchscreen pad while the car is in motion.

The video game investigation covers more than 500,000 vehicles, Models 3,S,X, and Y. Games such as solitaire can be played on a touch screen, including in every Tesla vehicle, a feature that was highlighted in a New York Times report earlier this month.
