Talking Who is / was your favourite cartoon character?

lol

Any cartoon characters you personally find hilarious / did find hilarious as a child ?

Especially American cartoons contain some truly hilarious creatures . .

( if you live in a country with not so prominent cartoons feel free to post them as well )

- - -

My fav. about which I even had to laugh "back then" . .

'Taz' . . The 'Tasmanian Devil' hyped up

I found the rest of the 'Looney Toons' quite boring yet I always had a faible for this hilarious character . .

Also for the 'kiddie'-version which was done . .

'Dizzy Devil'

- - -

lol . . but seriously . . A 'Tasmanian Devil' is such . .

'Sarcophilus harrisii' . .

. . not really a resemblence , no . .?

But that's what cartoons are there for

. . over-hyping things . .

Sorry if this thread come across as a bit immature yet . .

We all had fav. cartoon characters I suppose . .

Good thing is in cartoons more or less all things are possible and one might encounter the most stange creatures . .

In reality a 'Tasmanian Devil' is marsupial predator ( see picture above )

Australia ( the continent ) , through continental drifting , was cut off from Asia hundreds of thousands of years ago . . .

That's why its flora and fauna developed in a way entirely different than that of the rest of the world . . .

Marsupials are only found there . .

- - -

I think 'Taz' made the species of the 'Tasmanian Devil' world-famous

The Tasmanian Devil is an endangered species and today primarily found on the island of Tasmania . .

Or , as it used to be called . .

'Van Diemen's Land' . .

Bugs, Porky, Daffy, Elmer, the (((Warner Bros))) 'toons were funnier than the Disneys, in my opinion, which were more wholesome, although Donald & nephews Huey, Dewey & Louie were funny.

I named a beloved cat Sylvester.....

I used to watch the TV cartoon version based on this newspaper cartoon featuring "Krazy Kat" and "Ignatz the Jew Rat":

@TG: Your claim is this, no matter how one defines "short hair": i.e., that the girl on the right side of the photo (who played "Lucy") has the SAME length of hair as the cartoon character "Lucy". Not even close, as the side by side images clearly and emphatically prove beyond a shadow of a doubt. But if you wish to believe otherwise, go right ahead.

I don't know what the deal is, maybe a reading comprehension problem or miscommunication here.

I wrote in post #51

Quote:
...most of the females in the comic strip have short hair
and then in post #55

Quote:
Um, Lucy (cartoon) has a short hairstyle ...check again. Hair is cut way above the neckline of her garment and you can see her pencil neck from any angle.
I was referring to the character in the cartoon in both posts. I wasn't comparing the actor 'Lucy' with the cartoon 'Lucy'.

Could be my fault I didn't state that in post 55 clearly, I've been kinda preoccupied. I'm posting from my boat offshore outside the entrance to NY harbor and fishing at the same time, so I'm going back and forth from the helm station where I have the electronics (and internet) to the cockpit to fish.

I stayed out here last night but I'll be making the trip back in before it gets dark, its still nice wx but its gonna start getting snotty as that hurricane moves up the coast and there aren't enough fish here to justify wasting more fuel.

Highly immature & also highlights your obsession with pop culture & education via a controlled media.

It's why you thought country music was big in the "wild west", you watch TV, movies, cartoons, & live in the fantasies they feed you, role playing even.

You have no education, no knowledge, no critical thinking, no life, you are the perfect example of someone who is a slave to the modern world, a mindless drone, educated by the goggle box & conditioned to a role of uselessness & worthlessness.

Oh , and this is coming from someone who immediately sticks to ad hominems when he can't win an argument ( see the thread I linked ) . .

Sewer-sow , how does it feel to be exposed as a flamer , to then pretend to wonder when others "pay with the same coin" and then to dedicate one's pitiful existence to disturbing threads . . . ?

Hmmm ?

- - - -

. . . have no fear , you do NOT have to do productive / creative posts . . . just disturbing threads and being a flamer will do . . .
