Kamala Harris Rallies Democrats, Pumps Up Biden and Warns of Trump

Urging South Carolina Democrats not to ignore their uncompetitive primary, she pointed to a list of Biden achievements and said Donald Trump posed a “profound threat.”

On the final day before South Carolina’s primary election officially kicks off the Democratic presidential nominating contest, Vice President Kamala Harris urged supporters not to ignore a contest that is widely expected to be uncompetitive but where she and President Biden are hoping for a morale-lifting rout.

“South Carolina, you are the first primary in the nation, and President Biden and I are counting on you,” Ms. Harris told a crowd on Friday at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg. “Are you ready to make your voices heard? Do we believe in freedom? Do we believe in democracy? Do we believe in opportunity for all, and are we ready to fight for it?”

It’s time for a serious talk about Veep Kamala Harris . . .

By Dan McLaughlin
Published Feb. 9, 2024, 7:49 p.m. ET

We need to talk about Kamala Harris.

Joe Biden’s problems are undeniable.

TV viewers Thursday night watching him confuse Mexico and Egypt saw the same things as the special counsel who interviewed the 81-year-old president and found him an “elderly man with a poor memory.”

Polls paint a dire picture of a man with only about 40% of Americans approving of the job he’s doing, and barely a quarter thinking he’s physically and mentally up to the job for another four years.

Biden has now trailed Donald Trump in national and swing-state polls for the past five months and much of the past year — despite Trump’s own age, unpopularity and baggage.

He’s drawing only 44% of voters — a dreadful position for an incumbent — and drops into the 30s when voters are offered third-party choices.

He has all the hallmarks of a man cruising to defeat in November.

And he’s not going to get any younger between now and then.

But how can he be replaced?

Only obscure Rep. Dean Phillips is running against Biden in the primary, and he’s getting nowhere.

Normally, if an aging and unpopular leader was visibly failing, he could be pushed aside for his heir-apparent.

Biden could be pressured to resign.

He could be removed from office under the 25th Amendment on the grounds that he’s “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

Democratic Party rules allow its leadership to pick a new nominee after the convention, but only if the original nominee is unavailable.

One way or another, Biden needs to go.

How better to do this than to elevate the vice president to the presidency and have her run as an incumbent?

After all, in 1968, when Lyndon Johnson abandoned his re-election campaign and Bobby Kennedy was assassinated, Democrats fell back on their sitting vice president, Hubert Humphrey.

But this time, it’s Kamala Harris.

She’s even more unpopular than Biden or Trump, with a 35.5% approval rating at this writing.

Her favorability has been under water in every single poll taken since August 2021.

And as we’ve seen repeatedly, Harris doesn’t improve upon close inspection.

Kamala Harris says she's 'ready to serve' amid concerns about Biden's age and memory

John L. Dorman Feb 12, 2024, 6:40 PM GMT+1

Vice President Kamala Harris in a recent interview said she was "ready to serve" as president amid voter concerns about President Joe Biden' age — which where only amplified after a special counsel's report last week raised questions about his mental acuity.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal just two days before Special Counsel Robert Hur released his report on Biden's handling of classified documents, Harris was asked if questions about the 81-year-old Biden's ability to serve for another term meant that she had to demonstrate to the electorate that she'd be ready to sit in the Oval Office.

"I am ready to serve. There's no question about that," Harris told The Journal.

The vice president then told the newspaper that people who've observed her job performance are "fully aware of my capacity to lead."
(...)
But Harris seemingly struggled early in her vice presidential term, with high-profile staff shakeups and a sense from many voters that her assignments — tackling the root causes of migration from Central America and pushing for sweeping voting-rights legislation that was eventually blocked by Senate Republicans — had not been successful.

Yes, I noticed that, and I also remember how you called him out for some of his pro-jewish neocon memes in his thread "Red-Pill Meme Warehouse" here on VNN.

You're doing great work.

Why a Kamala Harris presidency would be the death of the Democrats

The deeply unpopular vice president says she’s ready to replace Joe Biden, but that would likely destroy the party’s hopes for a 2024 win

Robert Bridge is an American writer and journalist. He is the author of 'Midnight in the American Empire,' How Corporations and Their Political Servants are Destroying the American Dream.

With President Joe Biden’s advanced age and cognitive decline taking central stage just months before the presidential election, Democrats need to discuss ‘the Kamala problem.’

As the US speeds towards the 2024 presidential election, the Democrats find themselves in a rather untenable position. Not only is the incumbent US President Joe Biden suffering visibly on the mental front – reminiscing aloud over meetings he’s never had with long-dead world leaders – but his second in command lacks the essential support of the Democratic base.

While Biden’s approval rating sits in the basement at 39%, Vice President Kamala Harris has managed to outdo him with 37.5%. This should come as no surprise considering that Harris was polling at 1% when she dropped out of the presidential nominee race in 2019. How did she manage to alienate so many people within her own party?

Kamala Harris disregarded staff recommendation to investigate Herbalife — while husband Doug Emhoff’s firm repped the company

By Rikki Schlott
Published Feb. 17, 2024, 7:00 a.m. ET

Documents obtained by The Post indicate that Kamala Harris ignored calls from her staff to investigate Herbalife for pyramid-scheme behavior while serving as Attorney General of California — all while her husband, Douglas Emhoff, worked for the law firm representing Herbalife.

According to the documents, Harris’s staff recommended she investigate the Los Angeles-based company, which sells dietary supplements and weight loss shakes through individual sellers in a multi-level marketing structure.

In a March 2015 memo addressed to then-AG Harris, her staff suggested investigating allegations that the company was “engaging in a number of tactics designed to maximize the number of distributors selling its products, which results in cash flow back to those at the top of the organizational pyramid.”

Biden griped about being upstaged by Harris and wife Jill during 2020 campaign: book

By rJosh Christenson

Updated Feb. 23, 2024, 5:26 p.m. ET

Then-presidential candidate Joe Biden griped about being upstaged during his 2020 campaign by his wife Jill and running mate Kamala Harris, leaving him open to attacks from President Trump that he was hiding in his “basement,” a new book says.

In the final weeks of the campaign, Biden grew concerned that the number of public appearances he was doing was “not keeping pace” with Harris and Jill, New York Times correspondent Katie Rogers writes in her book about modern first ladies, “American Woman.”

“Jill was hitting the campaign trail and traveling so much in the weeks before the election that her team was using two private jets,” according to Rogers.

“Her schedule far outpaced that of her husband, who was widely criticized by the president and others for not holding enough in-person campaign appearances. (‘He’s in his damn basement again’ was one of Donald’s favorite rally refrains.)”

On a call with his campaign strategists, Biden vented that he was also “unsatisfied” about his vice presidential pick “crisscrossing the country,” as he headed north in a motorcade for an event in Bristol, Pa.

Only 36% of voters approve of ‘court jester’ Kamala Harris’ job as vice president: poll

By Victor Nava
Published March 15, 2024, 8:51 p.m. ET

More than half of voters disapprove of Vice President Kamala Harris’ job in the White House and don’t believe she has what it takes to be commander in chief, according to a new poll.

A USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll released Thursday shows 52% of registered voters disapprove of the 59-year-old veep’s job performance, while only 36% approve, including a paltry 4% of Republicans and 28% of independents.

Harris’ numbers are worse than President Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff peddles $5K textiles at NYC cannabis shop

By Olivia Land and Katherine Donlevy
Published April 4, 2024, 10:41 p.m. ET

Look out, Hunter Biden — there’s another White House-connected artist hitting New York’s art scene.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter opened her textile exhibition Thursday at a cannabis store on the Lower East Side — where she peddled knit portraits for several thousand dollars.

Ella Emhoff — whose father is second gentleman Doug Emhoff — debuted her knit pieces, which she said marks her transition out of the fashion world and into her new phase of life as an artist.

“This new art form kind of was birthed out of my knitwear, where I started kind of playing around with this duplicate stitch technique,” Emhoff, 24, told The Post during her reception at Gotham NYC, billed as a “woman-owned legal cannabis concept store on the Bowery.”

Kamala Harris reminds us a vote for Biden is a vote to hand her the White House keys

Choosing what it must think is the lesser of two evils, the Biden campaign has Vice President Kamala Harris hitting the campaign trail, rather than continuing to conspicuously keep her under wraps.

Problem is, upping Harris’ visibility can only remind voters that she’s likely to rise to the top when President Biden is no longer even able to fake being up to the job — and, worse, remind them of her utter awfulness.

For the record, her net favorability shows as -17.2 in the latest RealClearPolitics polling average (37.2% favorable, 54.4% unfavorable), vs. Biden’s -14.5 (+40.7%, -55.2).

In the 538 site’s (slightly less up-to-date) averages, she’s -15.2, he’s -15.9.

And while Biden’s low rating is plainly mainly due to the grim results of his policies, Harris’ unpopularity is all about her personally.

Kamala Harris agrees 2024 could 'genuinely' be the 'last democratic election'

Harris said on the 'I've Had It' podcast that she's 'had it over and over and over again' with Trump

By Gabriel Hays Fox News
Published April 10, 2024 8:38am EDT

Vice President Harris expressed her exasperation with former President Donald Trump during a recent podcast interview, and agreed that 2024 "genuinely could be" the last democratic election in America’s history.

Harris made the claims on an episode of the "I’ve Had It" podcast that aired on Tuesday. During the show, Harris spoke to co-hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie "Pumps" Sullivan about politics, notably the Biden-Harris ticket’s rematch with Trump.

In keeping with the show’s theme, Welch and Sullivan played several rounds of "had it or hit it" with the vice president, asking if she’s been a fan of, or has "had it" with a certain topic, person or thing. They asked her about "astrology," which she replied saying she’s "hit it," noting that she’s a "Libra" and describing how that affects her relationship with second gentleman Doug Emhoff.
