Submarine USS Stickleback Found
Submarine USS Stickleback Found 03-10-2020 07 Ocean explorer and Tiburon Subsea CEO Tim Taylor and his "Lost 52 Project" team have discovered USS Stickleback (SS 415), a submarine lost 62 years ago in close to 11,000 feet of water. The WWII submarine was commissioned on March 29, 1945. She was deployed to Guam and began her first war patrol on August 6 when she departed for the Sea of Japan. She arrived the following week and began her patrol. During this timeframe, the atomic bombs had been dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and it was believed the war would end shortly. https://www.maritime-executive.com/a...ckleback-found |

Not likely every German U-boat sunk in WW2 will be found. Over 700 of them, along with 20,000 men. Same for all the Japanese subs.
