Glad they did it and no Rapid Unplanned Disassembly this time. It took about this many flights to successfully land the Falcon 9 first stages, too. I wonder if SpaceX is planning on conducting a manned Starship test flight in the near future. Pretty sure a human pilot will be provided with an ejector seat since another malfunction or RUD is always a possibility in any flight testing. Passengers and crew on future operational flights will not have that luxury, and Elon Musk is planning on sending people to the Moon and Mars with bigger versions of this thing--would you fly on it? You're damn right I would. I would love to go into space at least once before I kick the bucket, and I'm not getting any younger.
Good camera angles and footage they got this time, too. It almost looks like something out of that old Thunderbirds TV series from the 1960s. Science fiction becoming science fact.

Well, that sucks--eight minutes after landing, it did explode.

They're going to need to include those inflatable slides they use on airlines to get the passengers off quickly.

So what is SpaceX going to do with all that scrap stainless steel from the wrecked Starships? Recycle it into new ships?
Hopefully they'll get these little bugs worked out, or this vehicle is definitely going to kill people. That's probably why SpaceX is planning to launch them from repurposed oil drilling platforms in international waters. Interestingly enough, the two platforms the company bought are named for Mars's moons Phobos and Deimos, meaning 'Fear' and 'Terror.'
