New Jersey town being sued again for discrimination against Orthodox Jews

APRIL 28, 2021 5:02 PM

(JTA) — The state of New Jersey has sued one of its towns over alleged discrimination against Orthodox Jews — the second such lawsuit against the town in less than a year.

Jackson Township has been selectively applying local laws and drafting new ones as part of an attempt to push out Orthodox Jews and limit their religious activities, the lawsuit alleges, according to a report by NJ Advance Media.
(...)
The growth of the Orthodox community in Jackson and the adjacent town of Lakewood in recent years has come with complaints by non-Orthodox residents about the changing character of the area.

NJ co-op owners want an elevator they can ride on Shabbat. They’re suing the board that said no.

BY SHIRA HANAU JULY 9, 2021 3:53 PM

(JTA) — When Paul and Helaine Kurlansky first moved to Fort Lee, New Jersey, in 2019, they were excited at the prospect of hosting their children and grandchildren, who lived in a nearby town, for Shabbat and holidays.

They chose The Colony, a high-rise co-op building, in large part for the accommodations made for the Shabbat-observant Jews like themselves who lived there. Orthodox Jews don’t press electrical switches on the Sabbath and the Kurlanskys — he’s 68, she’s 67 — live on the 32nd floor.

The board’s president told the couple that the building staff had always pressed the elevator buttons for Shabbat observant residents and that the shareholders had recently voted to install a Shabbat elevator that would stop at each floor automatically.

So when the Shabbat elevator service was stopped in July 2020 and the building’s staff was instructed not to press elevator buttons for Shabbat-observant residents, the couple were all but stranded during the 25 hours between Friday and Saturday nights and on holy days.

“We bought this apartment with the idea that we really don’t want to move again,” Paul Kurlansky said. “And all of that has just been trashed.”
(...)
In November, the Anti-Defamation League sent a letter to the board calling its policy of barring staff from pressing elevator buttons for Shabbat observers “discriminatory on its face.”

“Any prospective residents who may be interested in the building are being sent a clear message that observant Jews are unwelcome,” the letter said.

Chris Christie family bar mitzvah blamed for Covid-19 ‘outbreak’ that caused return to virtual learning for NJ school – reports

18 Sep, 2021 15:11

A New Jersey middle school closed and returned to virtual learning after discovering numerous positive Covid-19 cases among adults and students, some of which allegedly are traceable to Chris Christie, the state’s former governor.

Mendham Township schools Superintendent Salvatore Constantino claimed to the New York Post that multiple positive cases of the virus were found among students and adults following the recent bar mitzvah of Christie’s nephew, the son of Christie’s brother Todd and his wife, Andrea.

“There were, unfortunately, a few adult cases and a few student cases that came out of it,” Constantino said, acknowledging that there were already “a few” other positive cases, leading the school to switch to virtual learning on Friday. It was not specifically said how many cases could have stemmed from the party, but it’s believed to be lower than a dozen.

It seems that most prominent politicians in the US are either jews or have jewish relatives or in-laws.

Blue niggers don't deserve any compassion from so-called "domestic terrorists" like us.

New Jersey town agrees to repeal ordinance allegedly aimed at keeping out yeshivas

BY RON KAMPEAS JUNE 16, 2022 5:36 PM

WASHINGTON (JTA) — The township of Jackson, New Jersey settled a federal Justice Department lawsuit alleging that a 2017 ordinance banning dormitories sought to keep out yeshivas.

Under the consent order announced Wednesday, the township must replace the 2017 ordinance with one that allows “religious elementary and secondary schools, religious higher learning institutions, and religious residential schools.”

The township borders Lakewood, home to a large and fast-growing Orthodox Jewish community. The lawsuit alleged that the township sought to stem the flow of Orthodox residents into the town with the ordinance.

“Zoning restrictions that intentionally target religious communities have no place in our society,” said Kristen Clarke, the assistant attorney general who heads the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “ This resolution reaffirms that members of the Orthodox Jewish community — as with people of all faiths — are welcome in our communities and have the right to practice their religion free of discrimination.”

NJ township will pay $575,000 to settle lawsuit alleging discrimination against Orthodox Jews

BY JACKIE HAJDENBERG AUGUST 29, 2023 5:13 PM

Cassville Crossroads Historic District, Jackson Township, New Jersey, NJ, Sept. 9, 2012 (Wikimedia Commons).

(JTA) — New Jersey’s Jackson Township has settled a state lawsuit alleging that it used local ordinances to discriminate against Orthodox Jews, after settling both a federal complaint and a private lawsuit based on similar claims.

In the settlement with the state attorney general, Jackson Township will pay $575,000 in penalties and restitution funds, repeal the ordinances that allegedly target Orthodox Jews and adopt new policies and procedures that protect religious freedom. It will also form a multicultural committee composed of residents that will meet quarterly to combat discrimination, and local officials will undergo anti-discrimination training.

“No one in New Jersey should face discrimination for their religious beliefs,” Attorney General Matthew Platkin said in a statement. “We are firmly committed to eliminating discrimination and bias across our state, and we expect local leaders to comply with our robust anti-discrimination laws.”

The settlement comes after years in which officials and community groups in and around Jackson have been accused of trying to push out Orthodox residents. Jackson borders the heavily Orthodox city of Lakewood, and Orthodox Jews have moved into the surrounding towns as Lakewood’s population has swelled.

That's right, folks. Orthodox jews from Lakewood are trying to take over neighboring Toms (sic) River with aggressive, mafia-like methods, like intimidating the homeowners' children.

Gee, I wonder why jews are so despised. It has to be "antisemitism". Yeah, that's it.
That sounds alot like blockbusting, something that the jews made a stink over when it was blacks coming into white neighborhoods (though I suspect that the kikes instigated the whole racket).
