Robert Pirsig, author of ZAMM, son was murdered by negros

Those familiar with Robert Pirsig's book, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (ZAMM), know his son Chris figured prominently in the book. The less esoteric ZAMM theme involves a motorcycle journey that Prisig and is son took from Minnesota to Northern California in 1968 when Chris was 12 years old. The book was published in 1974 and is believe to have sold over 5 million copies. ZAMM is the only significant work by Pirsig and his only other work was much less successful.

In 1979, at the age of 22, Pirsig son was murdered by a pair of negros in a "mugging gone wrong" outside the Zen Center in San Franthisco.

There are many references to the murder on the web, but there seems to be no reporting on the species the attackers belonged to. Fortunately, Pirsig himself documented that truth in the afterwords of the 25th anniversary edition of ZAMM on page 415.

The receding Ancient Greek perspective of the past ten years has a very dark side: Chris is dead.

He was murdered. At about 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 17, 1979, in San Francisco, he left the Zen Center, where he was a student, to visit a friend's house a block away on Haight Street.

According to witnesses, a car stopped on the street beside him and two men, black, jumped out. One came from behind him so that Chris couldn't escape, and grabbed his arms. The one in front of him emptied his pockets and found nothing and became angry. He threatened Chris with a large kitchen knife. Chris said something which the witnesses could not hear. His assailant became angrier. Chris then said something that made him even more furious. He jammed the knife into Chris's chest. Then the two jumped into their car and left.

Chris leaned for a time on a parked car, trying to keep from collapsing. After a time he staggered across the street to a lamp at the corner of Haight and Octavia. Then, with his right lung filled with blood from a severed pulmonary artery, he fell to the sidewalk and died.

Having one's child murdered by negros must be unimaginably painful. Having written only one successful book in which one mention his son on virtually every other page must be more so.

Pirsig's ZAMM can be viewed as a 400 plus page attempt to inform the reader about the nature of reality using is Metaphysics of Quality (MoQ) as a philosophical basis.

Pirsig has said that a principle of MoQ is that:

Any attempt by a lower order to overcome a higher order represents evil.

The sentence describing the murder of his White son by negros is far more an instructive and prescient example proving the basic principle of his MoQ.

The jew is leading the other lower orders to overcome the higher.
