Hugo Drax . . space-'Nazi' at its finest
lol . . is it just me or was Hugo Drax , the 'bad guy' featured in "James Bond - Moonraker" some kind of 'space-Nazi' ? He wanted to breed a 'perfect race' aboard his space-station and gas the rest of mankind . . To me . . some kind of 'space-Hitler' ( if you go by the official story about Hitler . .) . . lol I suppose had the National Socialists had the technology of Drax back then they might even have won . . No matter who would have interferred . . I truly liked Drax' character yet I have to say , though , he has one of the most hilarious Bond-death-scenes . . Those Bond-deaths are always so unrealistic . . But since the fictional character Drax had those ideas , no wonder he was portrayed as a bad guy . . By the way , my favourite scene from Moonraker . . |

Having Drax looking and acting like Hitler was obviously intentional. One of the commenters in the Drax speech YouTube video said he was way ahead of his time.
Jaws was the most bad-ass Bond villain. Even if he was like Wile E. Coyote vs. the Road Runner, he just couldn't seem to kill Bond. That's what made it so funny and classic. And I thought Holly Goodhead was the hottest Bond girl. Smart and sexy. My favorite Moonraker scene:

The outcome was Hugo Drax . . lol Of course they had to go with the Zeitgeist ( space travel age ) . . Quote:
By the way , is it just me , or . . And . . Michael Lonsdale was the perfect cast for this role . . He mostly plays 'serious' characters . . Quote:
Coyote was much prettier than Jaws . . . At least in direct comparisson . . . lol . . even if he found a blonde brat in the movie . . Quote:
That would have pretty much been like . . Quote:

I think the YouTube commenter meant Drax was way ahead of his time in reference to his plan to repopulate Earth with perfect human physical specimens, mostly Aryan-Nordic types. That's why Jaws turned against Drax and helped Bond at the end.
You're right, Drax's space station was based on the Death Star. Indeed, Moonraker was made due to the success of Star Wars. Just like Star Trek: The Motion Picture released later in 1979 was. Ian Fleming's original Moonraker written in the late 1950s was quite different from the movie. There, Drax stole some nuclear missiles instead of the Space Shuttle. There is a thread about Vikings in the Movies sub-forum. There were a couple of discussions about who was hotter--Kathryn Winnick (Lagertha) or Alyssa Sutherland (Aslaug). I liked Alyssa better myself, but Kathryn was nothing to sneeze at, for sure.

lol , every time I watch that movie I almost wish Drax had succeeded . .
Imagine it . . Planet Aryan . . Hmmmmm . . But , as usual , once again a coalition mainly between the U.K. and the USA ( not putting down these two countries as such , just pointing out to them allowing themselves to be abused by the NWO forces . . . ) . . . . brought down an 'evil Nazi' . . And the two main perpetrators were screwing each other . . |

Perhaps if Drax had made contact with the secret Nazi base on the Moon's far side controlled by Hitler's brain, his plan would have been successful.

Seriously , is this never going to stop ? ? Yes , the Nazis had contact with extraterrestrials ( Greys , Aldebaraanians , Pleiadians . . ) The had the Vril flying saucer Haunebu . . They landed on the Moon . . . . and on Mars . . Fact . . Also . . Hitler fled to Argentina with a Reichsdeutsche Flugscheibe . . He then became the new Führer in Argentina . . And . . the Nazis also have a secret base in Antarctica . . Hail Neuschwabenland ! ! I might add that the Earth is also hollow . . Seriously , what is it with that kind of stuff ? ? I had to laugh at your joke about the Moon being controlled by Hitler's brain though . . |

I might add concerning this thread that I would not at all be opposed to our race taking advantage of time and space . .
I do not know how many people of other races already were 'up there' yet the majority sure were Europeans . . For the record , I always found this song ironic since the singer's race ( African Blacks ) sure had the least impact on the 'Space Race' Yet she sings about 'mankind flying to the Moon' . . lol If you do not buy into the theory that the lunar landings were fake that is lol Space should belong to us . . Who knows what's in the future , lol . . |
