British newspaper vows to ‘redouble efforts’ against racism after giving wrong image of chancellor
02 October, 2022 A British newspaper has pledged to ‘redouble efforts’ against racism after it used picture of a wrong person in chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng story. The Mirror newspaper has also apologised for the ‘terrible error’ which happened on October 1, the first day of Black History Month. “This morning a picture in a story about Kwasi Kwarteng was wrongly captioned on the Mirror website. This was a terrible error and we apologise to Mr Kwarteng and all our readers,” the publication said. “The Mirror has a long history of working against racism and we will redouble our efforts on this.” The tabloid realised the mistake after Kwarteng tweeted with a screenshot of the story about him saying that “That isn’t me” on Saturday (1). https://www.easterneye.biz/british-n...of-chancellor/ |
