Maennerchor
I think we should all learn how to sing.
http://www.beethovenmaennerchor.com/ http://www.geocities.com/twh17/Madison_Maennerchor.html http://www.germania.evansville.net/ http://chor.www8.50megs.com/uticamc/ If you decide to hook up with this kind of thing, dont show up wearing goofy clothes, praising Hitler, etc. I would say, dont join unless you want to sing and make good local friends. Join up, make yourself useful, fit in, make friends, help improve the effort. Time goes by, once you have had a chance to size people up, maybe then you can do some one on one "recruitment" if you will. But dont be a jerk. it pays to have friends in your area and know the lay of the land. |

The Spartans sang on their way into battle, too. I talked to a several guys who were at the big NA march in DC, all VNNers, and apparently they sang together there too. So we are on the same wavelength here. Harmonizing if you will. LOL |

from your link:
Singing And Marching Singing is an important part of Legion life. You will learn several songs during basic training and in your combat regiment. Once you've learnt a song it is combined with marching. The Legion marches at 88 paces per minute which is substantially slower than the 120 pace per minute norm of most military units. |

Ah h h h h ..... But, nothing tops "Tomorrow Belongs To Me", or "The Horst Wetzel Song." And "Dixie" is right up there too, especially renditions with lots of loud drums, and orchestrated for marching in step.

The S.A. marches with silent solid steps. Comrades shot by the red front and reaction march in spirit with us in our ranks. The street free for the brown battalions, The street free for the Storm Troopers. Millions, full of hope, look up at the swastika; The day breaks for freedom and for bread. For the last time the call will now be blown; For the struggle now we all stand ready. Soon will fly Hitler-flags over every street; Slavery will last only a short time longer. Flag high, ranks closed, The S.A. marches with silent solid steps. Comrades shot by the red front and reaction march in spirit with us in our ranks. |

thats funny because "la" is feminine article, but "patrie" is obviously derived from Latin pater, which means father.

I love that song though. Got it on my website BTW. Hitler's 1934 Party Rally speech, followed by the Horst Wessel song. Mighty inspiring...mighty inspiring.

Did I mention that I enjoy your website? I found the Forrest Sawyer interview impressive in many ways. Plus you are a spittin image for one of my second cousins right down to the moustache. I wish he were on the same page as us, he is a big Republican but unfortunately a fundamentalist and so caught up in the pro-zionist zeal of that group of folks. |
