Minneapolis Police Chief Forced Out After Fatal Shooting of Australian Woman

The Minneapolis police chief, Janee Harteau, resigned on Friday at the mayor’s request, less than a week after one of the city’s officers fatally shot an unarmed Australian woman who had called 911 for help.

Mayor Betsy Hodges said in a statement that “I’ve lost confidence in the chief’s ability to lead us further” and that “it is clear that she has lost the confidence of the people of Minneapolis as well.”

The fatal shooting of the Australian woman, Justine Damond, last weekend by Officer Mohamed Noor led to outpourings of grief in Minnesota and outrage in Ms. Damond’s home country, where the prime minister condemned the shooting and Ms. Damond’s family members have expressed frustration with how little they have been told about what happened...

...Chief Harteau, a 30-year veteran of the Minneapolis police force, said in a statement that “the recent incidents do not reflect the training and procedures we’ve developed as a department.”

Hundreds of people gathered Thursday night at the Minneapolis site of Justine Damond’s fatal shooting, where they held a vigil before marching to a nearby park to continue their remembrance of the Australian expatriate.

Damond, 40, called 911 on July 15 to report a suspected sexual assault outside her home. Once two officers — identified as Matthew Harrity and Mohamed Noor — arrived at the house, she approached the driver’s side of the squad car, just after Harrity heard a loud sound near the car, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Noor, who was sitting in the passenger seat, then fired his weapon through the open driver’s side window, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety said. Damond was pronounced dead at the scene.

A large crowd gathered outside Damond’s home, including Valerie Castile, the mother of Philando Castile, an African-American man who was shot and killed by a police officer one year ago, according to ABC affiliate KSTP.

The crowd stood silently and hugged each other, while one speaker said, “We gather here before you in our heartbreak, in our longing for healing.”

After congregating at the home Damond shared with her fiance Don Damond, the crowd marched to Beard’s Plaissance Park on Lake Harriet. Along the way, marchers stopped traffic at some intersections for several minutes, KSTP reported... Source

There was a story while back of a Florida town run by women and minorities. The chief was a woman and couldn't get along with the city council, so they fired the entire police staff and paid the Sheriff's Dept. to cover the town.

So the march for Justine was basically Whites? And the nigs chimping in the news conference were just using the event as a means to whine, confront, and demand in general?

Whites DO NOT need to align themselves with nigger causes or chimpouts. In the end, niggers don't give a shit about Whites. And the converse needs to be true too. That situation was almost out of control with two nigs going at each other. I expected a punch to be thrown at any moment.

At that point, it would have been a typical nigger melee. Whites need to steer clear of these situations. Whites do not want to get caught up in any situation where they can get arrested and end up in the legal system.

The retired social worker had dialled 911 on May 25 to report a man was outside the back of her house smoking marijuana.

Ms Graham has claimed officer Noor and two other cops who arrived at her house had forced their way into her home, court documents say.

Officer Noor, Ms Graham has claimed, took away her mobile phone and took hold of her wrist and arm.

It is alleged she was told she would be taken to hospital because she had been deemed to be in a 'mental health crisis'.
