Jobbik against setting up Tom Lantos Institute

By MTI

Radical nationalist party Jobbik said on Monday that it objected to plans to set up a Tom Lantos Institute in Budapest to promote minority rights, insisting that the former US politician of Hungarian descent was a "Hungarophobe."

Hungarian President Pal Schmitt told a UN general assembly meeting in New York on Friday that Hungary plans to set up a centre to promote tolerance, to be named after Lantos.

Jobbik parliamentary group leader Marton Gyongyosi said on Monday that the initial idea for the centre came from former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany, who announced plans to set up a Tom Lantos institute after the US politician's death in February 2008.

Gyongyosi said Lantos, a former politician of the Democratic Party, was a "Hungarophobe" and "best friends" with former Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu.

"Hungarian right-wing people with patriotic feelings will never support this initiative," he said.

In addition to the naming of the institute, Gyongyosi also criticised the entire plan to set up such an organisation, adding that minority research and promoting tolerance were not among Hungary's most urgent tasks at the moment.

Very good. The kike Lantos was also a big shiptar supporter.

Default Budapest Experiences A New Wave of Hate

__________
Quote:

Neo-fascist thugs attacked Roma families, killing six people in a series of murders. The right-wing populists of the Fidesz Party won a two-thirds majority in the parliament, while the anti-Semitic Jobbik party captured 16.7 percent of the vote, making it the third-largest party in Hungary, next to the Socialists. Unknown vandals defiled the Holocaust Memorial with bloody pigs' feet. A new law granted the government direct or indirect control over about 80 percent of the media. The television channel Echo TV showed an image of Nobel laureate and Auschwitz survivor Imre Kertész together with a voiceover about rats. Civil servants can now be fired without cause. Krisztina Morvai, a member of the European Parliament for Jobbik, suggested that "liberal-Bolshevik Zionists" should start thinking about "where to flee and where to hide."

Hungary, rail firms sued in U.S. over Holocaust role

Thu Oct 21, 2010 10:31pm GMT

http://af.reuters.com/article/worldN...69K5WA20101021

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Hungarian survivors of the Holocaust and families of the victims sued the Republic of Hungary and its two rail companies in U.S. court on Thursday, accusing them of collaborating with the Nazis to exterminate Jews during World War Two.

The lawsuit accused the Hungarian government and rail companies of confiscating property of Jews and transporting them to ghettos and concentration camps where hundreds of thousands perished in Nazi-occupied Poland and Ukraine.

"The Jewish victims of the Hungarian Holocaust seek only what is due them -- compensation and restitution for the atrocities they suffered at the hands of the defendants," the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, seeks class-action status and unspecified damages. It said at least 300 survivors have been identified as possible members of the class but there could be more than 5,000.

A lawyer for the individuals suing, Chuck Fax, said the claims likely total tens of millions of dollars and possibly more.

A Hungarian Embassy spokesman in Washington had no immediate comment on the lawsuit.

The case was brought under two federal statutes, one that provides exceptions to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act which allow individuals to sue foreign governments that typically have immunity from lawsuits.

The other statute permits non-U.S. citizens to bring claims against private foreign entities in American courts. The lawsuit targets the government, the Hungarian national railway and its cargo rail company which was privatized in 2008.

Fax said that the lawsuit was still timely because Hungary has yet to compensate the survivors or their families or return the assets to them.

Hungary must tackle 'virulent' hate of Roma, says UN rights panel

Friday, October 29, 2010

http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/n.p...nel-2010-10-29

A top U.N. human rights panel on Thursday called on Hungary to tackle widespread and "virulent" hate speech, discrimination and violence against the Roma minority as well as rising anti-semitism.

"We spoke with Hungary and I think it recognized the extent to which attitudes in society have to be changed," said Michael O'Flaherty, a member of the U.N. Human Rights Committee after the panel reviewed the central European state's record.

The 18 U.N. experts said in their concluding report that they were "concerned at the virulent and widespread anti-Roma statements by public figures, the media, and members of the disbanded Magyar Garda" nationalist movement.

Roma were also subjected to "persistent ill-treatment and racial profiling... by the police," the experts added.

Hungary has promised to make Roma integration one of its top priorities when it becomes the standard-bearer for the European Union in January 2011 by taking over the EU presidency for six months.

O'Flaherty underlined that the situation of Roma formed the most prominent part of the U.N. committee's hearing of Hungary.

They are "a very substantial minority in Hungary and subject to very widespread social prejudice, discrimination and disadvantage," he explained.

Despite the government's strategy for Roma inclusion, the minority was still subjected to "widespread discrimination and exclusion" from education, housing, health and politics, the committee noted.

"Officers of the state have a particular responsibility and duty not reflect those prejudices and actively counter them," Flaherty explained.

"Another problem has to do with the rise of antisemitism," he added.

The U.N. panel called for specific measures to promote tolerance and counter "hate or racially motivated crimes" as well as prosecution of current or former Magyar Garda members.

The Roma minority have also been targeted by a wave of attacks and murders, forcing Hungarian authorities to call in the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, earlier this year to help track down the assailants.

Most of the 800,000 Roma, who account for just under 10 percent of Hungary's overall population, have to survive in abject poverty.

O'Flaherty also raised concerns about the Hungarian constitutional court's broad interpretation of freedom of speech laws and suggested it hampered legal attempts "to contain hate speech."

Anti-Roma sentiment in the country has grown with the economic downturn.

Billionaire investor George Soros said last week that he was prepared to make available millions of euros to bankroll projects to help integrate Roma in his native Hungary.

Meanwhile, the EU is mired in a row with another member state, France, after French authorities rounded up hundreds of Roma from illegal camps and sent them back to Romania and Bulgaria.

The U.N. committee oversees the world's main human rights treaty, the 166-nation International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

Although the 1966 treaty upholds freedom of expression it also obliges countries to outlaw "any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence."

On Stromfront while I was moderating the Hungarian Forum I have seen Serbs, Romanians and Slovenians rushing there constantly and insulting Hungarians just like you are doing it here by posting retarded messages about Hungary.

Serbians were running a large, imaginary country called “Yugoslavia” under the protective umbrella of the Red Army. As soon as Russia pulled back from the area Serbs were repeatedly humiliated by Croatians, Slovenians, Albanians, Bosnians and everybody else who cared to pick up a rifle in the area.

Serbia is still hanging on to a part of Hungary where they are presently busy with the destruction of the last 50,000 Hungarians, bringing in people from the Balkan.

Hungary has started on the road of reconstruction and as the influence of the US and the Masonic States of France and UK will diminish in the area we will start a relentless drive to recover our land and people.

How am I insulting Hungarians? I have friends who are Hungarian and I have always been against primitive chauvisim, no matter from which side it comes.

Serbs running Yugoslavia under the protective umbrella of the Red army! ROFL!
Tito {the croat} and Yugoslavia turned their back on the USSR. Yugoslavia was the only communist country in Europe that was quite liberal and pro western. We were considered the West by the Warsaw Pact countries, including Hungary, which your people would flee and seek refuge in Yugoslavia. Yugoslvaia was also a member of the non aligned nations.

If we were running the country why did we allow shiptars to cross the border from albania and settle kosovo? Why did the Serbian tax payer have to give so that shiptars could breed? why did we give bosnian muslims a nationality and republic?

Humiliated? I dont think so. NATO took our land and ethnically cleansed us but that is far from being humiliated.

Slovenia was never an issue as there are no ethnic Serb territories there.

Croatia was a problem as there was a sizeable Serb population there and they simply wanted to remain in Yugoslavia, not be part of a chauvinist catholic state which wanted to either kill cleanse or convert them to catholicism. It was quite similar to the Northern Ireland situation with Ulster Protestants wanting to remain part of Britain. Serbs have had horrific experience with ustasha chauvinism during ww2 and they were not going to just bend over and take it again. Croatia could have broken away peacefully if it had given the Krajina Serbs some form of self rule, instead of sending its military into Serb areas.

Bosnians? What are you talking about? There is no such nation. In Bosnia there are only Serbs and Croats, the muslims there are mostly remnants of the ottomans and islamicised members of the Serb and croat nations. bosnia is a fake state, an artificial product of the amerikwan Empire, when that Empire collapses so will the 'country' of Bosnia as it will be divided between Serbs and Croats.

As for shiptars, you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting that turkophile zog backed scum. Are you even a WN? I dont know any NS/WN in Europe who support shiptars, even croats who hate us dont support them.

Sorry but Vojvodina is Serbian and if you want it you will need to take up arms to get it. You also lie that there is discrimination against Hungarians there. They, along with every other minority have more rights than Serbs. Serbia is a country which discriminates against Serbian people only, while every other group has more rights than they enjoy in any other European nation.

OK, if that's what you wish bring it on. Just please do it without calling upon NATO, since you guys are a member of that criminal org.

In my opinion we should concentrate on the jews and gypos but if you dont consider tham a problem and only seek to start more confrontations in the region, and it's not only Serbia, as you also have claims to Romanian and Slovak lands, so be it.

I really am sick of this chauvinist shit.

Just to expand on this point. The political situation in Vojvodina today is such that ZOG is attempting to tear it away from Serbia by creating an artificial Vojvodinian identity, which it is pushing on the Serbian population there. ZOG's plan for this region is some type of autonomy which will eventually lead to independence. They have local Serbian collaborators in this effort so I dont even blame some local Hungarian separatists who are simply attempting to exploit the terrible situation Serbia finds itself in for their own political gain.

You also need to understand that ZOG will not allow either Hungary nor Serbia to claim exclusive rights to Vojvodina, so your talk of a war is pure nonsense.

Let me ask you a question, would you be happy with Hungarians in Vojvodina being given the exact same treatment as Croatian Serbs? Or would you cry to your western backers like the late jewish Hungarian patriot Tom Lantos, who never missed an opportunity to attack Serbia for its so called 'human rights violations' and 'genocide' in Vojvodina?

You are a pathetic hypocritical piece of garbage.

Anyway, here is a video of a Hungarian war hero Zoltan Dani, a former colonel of the Yugoslav Army and former commander of the 3rd battery of the 250th Missile Brigade. He shot down an Amerikwan F-117 Nighthawk near the village of Buđanovci on 27 March 1999.

It's in Serbo-Croatian, which Im sure you understand.

I'm surprised that they haven't arrested him for 'war crimes'.

I guess it was a coincidence than that every single artificial “nation” in Central Europe did bite the dust shortly after the Red Army pulled out. ROFL!

And just what is this eager-beaver urge on the part of a good Serbian soldier to dominate the Hungarian part of this Forum?!
Is there something he feels he needs to hide?

Maybe the mixed race population of the Balkan that was systematically replanted into the Hungarian towns, the never ending mass graves and the constant butchering of the civilian population after 1991?! The raping and the destruction of the Hungarian and German villages that went on and on forever?!

Serbians did get what they deserved in the wars against Croatia and Slovenia and the Hungarian conflict still remains, it is in the cards. We dominated the Carpathian Basin for over 1,100 years and we will do it again.

The Red Army was not in Yugoslavia, it was in your country. You were Moscow's Bolshevik puppets not us. In fact compared to Hungary Yugoslavia was Switzerland.

What can I say, I guess I am an evil Serb Imperialist.

Seriously though, I just posted a couple of news items concerning Hungary and then got attacked for no reason.

Serbs were never in a war against Slovenia. In fact Slovenian and Serbian nationlists have strong ties. As for Croatia it was a war between the Croat state and their local Serb population, not the state of Serbia. If Serbia had fully entered the war against Croatia we would have had a much different outcome. Croats can thank the traitor Milosevic and the International pressure on him that this didn't happen, not that I support such conflicts but sometimes there is no other option.

This will be my last post here since you are such a piece of shit.

Day of Honor in Hungary as in every year now.

I actually participated in one of these events under the leadership of “Kaloz” (The Pirate) who organized these events many years ago.
The jew-ridden government keeps harassing us endlessly for paying respect to the approximately 70,000 Hungarian, German soldiers and civilians who fought to the last bullet and behind in one of the most heroic extended battles of WWII for long months. Less than a thousand were able to break through to the German lines in February of 1945. The night march is following their path every year, on the same night while people are placing flowers on their graves.
Eleven and a half years after their heroic example a ten thousand strong Hungarian guerilla army faced off the largest land army of the time for long weeks – the Red Army, in 1956 October.
They fought like Hungarians always did when cornered and this planet was watching frozen for a few months. Never again did the commie world structure gain another square inch of territory on this planet. Life in Hungary became a lot better as a result of this sacrifice and the First Judeo-Bolshevik Empire slowly turned belly up struggling around for thirty some more years. Amen.

These clips are almost all in Hungarian.

Default 85% of working age Gypsy men in Hungary are not working

This number was 15% under the commies in the 1980s when the commie system created artificial jobs, positions regardless of productivity factors.
The total number of Gypsies is approaching a full million, 10 percent of the total population of Hungary.

The tension between Hungarians and Gypsies has increased to a level where the police is unable to manage the situation and spontan fights are often developing in the small town environment.

Default And these same Turks are invited now to be our best friends in the EU…

The Siege of Szigetvar

Szigetvár, situated close to the city of Pécs in
Southern Hungary, was never a particularly large or
strong fortress. Its existence, however, had been a
thorn in the Turks' side since 1556, when Ali Pasha of
Buda had lost ten thousand men under its walls in an
unsuccessful siege.

Ten years later Suleiman the Magnificent, the victor
of Mohács, decided that as a preparatory step to the
capture of Vienna, Szigetvár must be destroyed. When
in August 1566 he arrived with 90,000 troops and 300
cannons under Szigetvár, he was not impressed. To him,
Szigetvár was a "molehill."

A few hundred kilometers to the north another army,
80,000 strong, struck camp between Gyor and Komárom.
These were the troops gathered by Emperor Maximilian,
King of Hungary, to fend off the anticipated Turkish
advance on Vienna after the expected fall of
Szigetvár. The efforts of Hungarian leaders to induce
Sam Ekhard, the Imperial commander of his force, to
aid the beleaguered fortress were of no avail.

Count Miklós Zrínyi, who was then the Ban (viceroy) of
Croatia, decided to take charge of the defense
himself. With only 2,500 Hungarian and Croatian
soldiers he had no illusions about the final outcome.
The wives and daughters of Zrínyi's officers refused
to leave the city, they wanted to stay with their
husbands and fathers until death.

After due preparations for the siege, Zrínyi gathered
his men for a meeting during which all swore to defend
Szigetvár against the infidels to their last breath.
Then red flags were hoisted as a signal to the Turks
that Zrínyi was ready for battle.

What made Szigetvár defensible at all were not high
hills or strong walls, but the marshes of the Almás
Creek which surrounded Szigetvár, a city built on
three islands. A dammed lake added to its defense
potential. Szigetvár's three islands were connected by
wooden platforms built over the water. The largest
island was situated in the middle, serving as the base
for the "old city." Connected to it on one side was
the "new city" and on the other side the fort proper,
which included a high point called Nádasdy Hill. From
Nádasdy Hill, gun emplacements looked down on the
plain around Szigetvár.

The defenders were at an immediate disadvantage,
because an unusually dry summer had reduced their best
weapon: water, to inundate the marshes. Whatever was
left in the lake and moats had been drained by the
Turks, who had destroyed the dam in preparation for
the siege. As a next step, the Turks built three
causeways of brushwood and dirt across the drained
lake bed. The Portuguese artillery expert, Aliportug,
whom the Sultan had used at the siege of Malta,
devised a monster platform, made of forty-two wagons
(three wagons wide, fourteen wagons long). fastened
together by tree trunks to bridge the gap between the
bastion and the causeway.

The Turks took the indefensible "new city," built on
the smallest island, in two days, a feat claiming the
lives of 3,000 Turks and 300 defenders. But the
fortress proper still stood and the guns from Nádasdy
Hill continued to batter the attackers, causing heavy
casualties.

In his frustration, Grandvizier Ahmed Sokolovits
changed tactics. He sent envoys to Zrínyi, promising
him eternal possession of all of Croatia and Slovenia
if he would only surrender. Zrínyi turned the offer
down with contempt. Next, the Turks used arrows to
shoot messages written in Hungarian and Croatian to
the defending soldiers to induce them to open the
gate. The result was the same.

Angered. the Grandvizier ordered the fortress to be
bombarded on all four sides day and night. At the same
time, his men began sinking shafts to under-
mine the entrenchments, to no avail. The general
attack on the night of August 26 was beaten back with
the Turks losing Ali Pasha of Buda, and Ali Borsuk,
the commander of Turkish artillery.

Suleiman Dead and Still "Alive"

Suleiman the Magnificent was furious. On August 29,
the 40th anniversary of his Mohács triumph, the aged
Sultan personally took charge of an all-out attack
which was renewed ten times during the day. But this
time it was Zrínyi who took revenge for Mohács:
thousands of the Sultan's best soldiers were piling up
dead or wounded in the ten futile attempts at a
breakthrough. The Portuguese Aliportug was one of the
first victims, felled on his wagon-bridge trying to
crossover with Janissary troops. The defenders even
captured the commander of the Janissaries.

The "Magnificent" was crying in shame and anger when
he witnessed how his best regiments took to flight
from the walls. At the end, when he was helped down
from his horse, he was a dying man although he had not
been touched by any weapon.

For five days a deadly silence fell upon the Turkish
camp while new attempts were made to sink shafts under
the fortress. This time the Turks succeeded. On
September 5th a shattering explosion demolished
Nádasdy Hill, fire engulfing all the surrounding
buildings. Through the gaps caused by the explosion
thousands of Janissaries rushed in and began to sack
the buildings in the marketplace, killing women and
children. They thought the fortress was already
theirs.

Not quite. Zrínyi and his soldiers descended on them
like avenging angels killing most of the invaders and
repelling two new attacks. Turk bodies were piled up
in the passages made by the explosion, blocking
further attempts to enter. Those who remained alive
were seen fleeing like scalded ants from an ants'
nest.

Sultan Suleiman could not bear the sight any longer.
When the Turkish trumpets signaled retreat again, a
fatal stroke felled him.

Sultan had come to kill Miklós Zrínyi and ultimately
it was Zrínyi whose resistance killed him.

Suleiman died, but he lived for three more days -
officially, that is.

The Grandvizier believed it was essential to conceal
the truth from his troops to prevent general panic. In
an act of make-believe unprecedented in history, he
had the Sultan dressed up in his imperial robes with a
diamond-studded turban on his head and a golden
war-hammer in his hand, and placed him in a chair
under his tent as if he were watching his troops in
review.

This farce continued for three days to allow time for
the complete capture of Szigetvár, now practically
ruined and with only 300 defenders left under Zrínyi's
command. All their cannons and supplies, except for
the ammunition, had been destroyed by the flames.

Zrínyi knew that the end was near.

Storming out into Certain Death

The defenders were all prepared to die in keeping with
their oath, but first a horrendous task awaited them.
Their wives and daughters were still alive in the
tower. Should they fall into Turkish hands, they would
suffer a fate worse than death, and so, they had
chosen instead to die at the hands of their beloved
fathers and husbands.

After tearful farewells the men plunged daggers into
their loved ones' hearts. This was the Hungarian
version of Masada. the immortal self-sacrifice of
Jewish zealots in a Roman-besieged fortress two
millenniums ago.

With this tragic event behind him, Zrínyi donned the
silk and velvet garment he had worn on his wedding
day, and hung a heavy gold chain around his neck. He
discarded his shirt of mail and instead, stuffed his
pockets with gold pieces to "provide for my funeral"
and with the unsheathed sword of his father in hand he
joined his men in the tower yard. He blessed and
thanked them for their loyalty. His men, following
their commander's example, also discarded their armor.

Then Miklós Zrínyi, with the national flag in one
hand, his sword in the other, ordered the opening of
the gate behind which enemy troops swarmed on a
bridge. When the gate was flung open Zrínyi's men
fired two heavy cannons stuffed with nails and sharp
pieces of iron, point blank into the enemy ranks. A
moment later Zrínyi and his 300 men stormed out of the
fortress. "Like a fiery ray of lightning he cracked
down on them, cutting down everybody within range to
make way for himself and for the courageous men
following him," wrote the German historian Wagner.

The bridge had been cleared of Turkish troops when the
inevitable happened. Zrínyi was fatally hit by two
bullets in the chest and by an arrow in his eye. His
officers and men also fell - all except three.

Zrínyi's head was promptly severed by the Janissaries
and his body placed on a cannon. As a sign of victory,
his head was put on a plate and rushed to the Sultan's
tent by troops still unaware of the Magnificent's
death.

This, however was not the end of the resistance.

Booty-hungry Janissaries invaded the fortress
searching for the alleged treasures of Miklós Zrínyi.
Thousands jammed the yard and the tower when the last
holdout, a young woman hiding in the underground
ammunition chamber, threw a flaming torch into the
gunpowder stored in the cellar. The terrible
detonation which followed buried not only those in the
tower but practically everyone in the yard. Thus, it
became the burial ground for 3,000 Janissaries.

All told, the Battle of Szigetvár claimed the lives of
2,500 Magyars and Croatians and 25,000 Turks in a
siege in which no stones remained unturned.

The remains of the fortress of Szigetvár still stand
as a silent memorial to a battle fought for country,
faith and honor.

GODOLLO JUNKET OF ENERGY EUROKLEPTOCRATS MIXES MUMBOJUMBO WITH CAVIAR

The junket of energy ministers of Fourth Reich held in Godollo of Hungary on 2-3 May, discusses two items on the agenda: the Energy Roadmap 2050, and the EU's external energy relations. Both items are key subjects and initiatives that will decide the future of the EU's energy policy for decades to come. This is what makes the informal meeting an important stage of Hungary's term of EU Presidency.

Kleptocrats are often taking very expensive junkets, taking advantage of their positions and access to public funds to undertake pleasure trips thinly disguised as being of political importance. For example, a keptocrat might travel to Greece, claiming to attend a conference there, but leaving plenty of days to explore the Greek islands and Greek delights at leisure.

Kleptocrats, accompanied by their kith and kin, are going to junkets because they cannot miss a good party at taxpayers' expense. The worst thing that could happen in a junket is running out of caviar and hookers. Many junketeers use military jets that cost 10,000 euros per hour! Deputies of the European Parliament(EP), aka Eldorado of Prostitutes, love junkets! http://venitism.blogspot.com

Hoi polloi fear that a nuclear reactor might become an atomic bomb. But this is impossible. Reactor grade uranium is 5% U-235 that produces slow chain reaction. In order to get to bomb grade uranium, the kind that will explode with an instantaneous chain reaction, uranium must be enriched to 90% U-235.

With energy prices so high, nuclear reactors bring windfall profits! On the other hand, a reactor can melt down. This is what happened at Three Mile Island. A valve stuck open and a series of mistakes led the operators to think the core was overflowing when it was actually short of cooling water. They further drained the core and about a third of the core melted from the excess heat. Americans were at shock and awe, because they were not sure what was happening. At the end, the melted fuel stayed within the reactor vessel.

Critics had predicted a China syndrome where the molten core would melt down into the earth where it would hit groundwater, causing a steam explosion that would spray radioactive material across a huge area. Three Mile Island was an industrial accident, but no one was injured. This was not the case at Chernobyl, where a cheap Soviet design did not provide a concrete containment structure around the reactor vessel. A stupid mistake set fire to the carbon moderator, which controls the flow of neutrons. The result was a four-day fire that spewed radioactive debris around the world. More fallout fell on Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, from Chernobyl than from Three Mile Island!

Nuclear power is risky for investors, because it ties up more capital for longer periods of time than its main competitor, natural-gas-fired generation. Nuclear power makes economic sense only if natural gas prices are very high. Then, over time, the high initial costs of nuclear power would be offset by nuclear power's lower fuel costs. Renewable energies should supply half of all energy needs by 2050 and that nuclear and coal power would continue until supplies could be met entirely by clean energy.

The Energy Roadmap 2050 initiative will be a decisive energy policy document, and it will draw up a schedule for the establishment of a low-carbon energy system by 2050. Fourth Reich mumbojumbos that an 85-90% cut of emissions, compared to their 1990 level, is not only a challenge, but can also become a means of enhancing employment, productivity and welfare, by a set of measures including the encouragement to using new, and innovative technologies.

It's a classic economic fallacy, identified as early as 1850 by French economist Frederic Bastiat. Is it a good or a bad thing, Bastiat asked, if someone breaks a shopkeeper's window? Superficially, it's a good thing: more work to keep the glaziers busy and paid. But that work comes at the expense of other goods and services the shopkeeper would have bought if he didn't have to pay for the window. And, while those other goods and services actually would have improved the lot of the shopkeeper and his customers, breaking and replacing the window enhances nothing.

It's an obvious point, but one that is constantly overlooked. Eurokleptocrats have consistently fallen into the broken windows trap, arguing that climate change rules would create millions of "green jobs" by increasing demand for new technologies. But this new demand comes at the expense of other expenditures that would have been made, and the jobs that would have been created elsewhere. Rather than a boon, the new green jobs are just so much broken glass.

During the meeting, Eurokleptocrats discuss the Roadmap in general and also in specific terms. Along with plenty of caviar and champagne, they discuss important approaches, such as the Roadmap's potential effects on competitiveness, research and development, markets and consumers. They also touch upon the possible social and economic effects. http://venitism.blogspot.com
