A 17-year-old accused of killing a Washington cab driver last week has been connected to and charged with shooting a woman to death in late October on a foot path in Waldorf.
Authorities say Joshua T. Mebane is facing first degree murder charges in the slaying Teresa Bass. Bass was shot while walking her dog on Oct. 26. Her husband, Jerry, was also shot multiple times.
Charles County Sheriff Rex Coffey said, "We are confident we have the guy, and he is in custody."
Authorities say Mebane lived with his parents in the same Waldorf neighborhood as the couple he allegedly shot.
Neighbor Richard Grant was shocked by the news.
