On Tuesday the 20th of July 2010 term three started in Western Australian schools and with it 53 boat invader children started school at the Leonora District School. Seven new teachers and two interpreters have been employed to cope with the influx. Now I don't know about you but I know of nowhere in the world where each teacher has just seven students. I know that when I was at school it was more like 25 students to each teacher and before this the 150 school kids of Leonora were split up into 6 classes. I wish that we all could have such an intense one on one education but apparently that is only afforded to those that come into the country illegally.
No wonder the boat invaders are breaking their necks to get here as the free ride is...
