I had no idea they were Dutch, but then Abba (I'm not a fan!) were Swedish and sang in English.

Okay now you know, I was in illegal radio in those years (hence I have many contacts in that world, and have spoken to many people).

No, I didn't like ABBA either (too sweet for me, a bit of hippie stuff). There were several bands at that time that sang English, some were successful with it, others were not.

Van Halen (Eddie and Alex ) was also founded by Dutch, they recorded their first debut demo with KISS bassist Gene Simmons (1977). They have become known with ;

I just think all their songs sound alike. I say that about the Beach Boys which is heresy with older Boomers.

By the way, Gene Simmons is a jew pig.

No I don't like that kind of music either, but sometimes we had to promote it so that the radio station could get some money.

We were the first in Europe to have the next jingle as a scoop on the channel, even before the official channels had the song it was already a hit with us.

But well I don't go into this any further, otherwise the front door will lay in the hallway tomorrow.

RIP Chris Oliva
One of my favorite guitar players from the 80’s.
He died way too young.

If you lived in England you would think they (Golden Earring) had only made one song - Radar Love.

I didn't discover them and much else until 2005 or so thru World of Warcraft when the opportunity to talk to Europeans came about and it turned out that everyone in Europe was a metalhead with great taste in music.

Metal had long since died in England and been replaced by Thrash Metal. I didn't like it.

Radar Love came out when I was a wee lass. Not all of us are metal heads.

My apologies if from the very late 70s.
