German vice-chancellor says Turkey is "unpredictable"
German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel has said that "Turkey, and not Russia" is the "unpredictable player" in the region. Source: Sputnik Thursday, November 26, 2015 | 10:07 ![]() Sputnik is reporting this quoting German media reported on Wednesday. Speaking about Tuesday's shooting down of a Russian warplane by Tukey, Sigmar told Spiegl: “This incident showed that, based on statements from other countries in the region, there is a player in the region who is unpredictable and that is Turkey and not Russia." According to him, Turkey has played "a difficult role" in the Syrian conflict. link

Leader of Serbian Radical Pary Vojislav Seselj says what he would do following this incident if he were Putin.
Firstly he says that turks would never have done this without support from Americans. Second tukrs stand behind Islamic state, as do Saudi Arabia and America. Islamic state without tukish support simply cant exist. All the oil form that occupied territory is exported through Turkey. Seselj doesn't know how Russia will react but he knows how he would react if he were in Putin's shoes. How would you react? I would begin supporting and arming the Kurds. I would try to convince Assad for him to give up the small part of Syria were Kurds live. This would be necessary in order for Assad to save the rest of the country. Then I'd help the Kurds in Iraq so that they can form a joint state with the Syrian Kurds. Then all types of classic weapons they would be given. Then the turks would really see what has befallen them. There are 30 million Kurds, this is a large nation and they still don't have their own state. Centuries they try to make it and always great powers prevent them. So now I'd help them make their state, and that means at least 1/4 of Turkish territory will be in the new Kurdish state. I think this would be the best answer to the turks.

This Thanksgiving Will You Go to War With Russia for Turkey-Backed Syria Rebels?
Who - we remind you - don't mind rubbing shoulders with al Qaeda Thomas L Knapp (CounterPunch) NATO Wants You! ![]() Originally appeared at CounterPunch -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty states that an “armed attack” on a NATO member “shall be considered an attack against them all” and that all parties to the treaty must join in to “restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.” Left unspecified is what happens when a NATO member itself launches an “armed attack” on a nonmember, as happened Tuesday when Turkish F-16s shot down a Russian Sukhoi-24 bomber near the Syrian border. Naturally, there are conflicting claims about whether or not the Russian craft was in Turkish airspace. Even if it was, no one seems to be buying the idea that it was “attacking” Turkey. But Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan edges toward such a position on the basis that the Russians are fighting Syrian rebels, some of who happen to be ethnic Turkmen – “our brothers and sisters” – and who may not necessarily be affiliated with the Islamic State. If Russia responds tit-for-tat, and if Turkey successfully invokes Article 5, NATO members could suddenly find themselves in a shooting war born entirely of their own hubris. Turkey should never have been admitted to NATO in the first place, and both its membership and the existence of NATO itself have long outlived any possible value they might once have had. First of all, Turkey is not situated on the North Atlantic. Nor on any other part of the Atlantic. Nor anywhere NEAR any part of the Atlantic. Picture the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce recruiting businesses in Denver. Yeah, sort of like that. Secondly, Turkey has little in common with other NATO members or with “the west” in general. Erdogan is a tinhorn Islamist authoritarian whose regime persecutes political dissenters, treats it as a crime to even mention that a hundred years ago his predecessors systematically murdered 1.5 million Armenians, and only materially supports NATO actions when doing so provides cover for suppressing the nationalist aspirations of Turkey’s (and Iraq’s, and Syria’s) Kurds. Turkey has also supported and taken part in every NATO action in former Yugoslavia during the 90s Thirdly, while the 45-year Cold War needn’t imply future enmity between Russia and the US or western Europe’s NATO nations, the Russians and the Turks have been at each others’ throats for nearly 500 years now with few breaks and no end in sight. Sooner or later, they’re going to go to war again. The benefits of having Turkey in NATO are mostly illusory. To the extent they aren’t, they’re not worth the risk of getting “Article Fived” into that war. If America’s political leaders are interested in truly peace, they’ll withdraw the US from NATO or, at the very least, move to expel Turkey from NATO. But America’s political leaders AREN’T truly interested in peace, are they? Happy Thanksgiving. http://russia-insider.com/en/politic...rebels/ri11486

This little faggot would never have fired on the Russian plane if he hadn't been given the green light not only by his bosses in Ankara, but in Washington, DC. Understandable how he hides his face behind his oxygen mask and helmet visor, since he could become dead real quick at the hands of some pissed-off Spetznaz operators (and maybe even a few Serbs). Crash and burn real soon, kebab-sucker.

I've had a hard time to assess what Erdogan really is all about since he's been flopping all over the place, showing remarkable inconsistence in statements, but this is the nail in the coffin. His behavior after this idiotic 'incident' is simply unacceptable. Let's hope for a coup d'etat in Turkey. Fuck Erdogan.

I wonder how much the USA paid Turkey to shoot down that Russian jet? I have no doubts that insane Mccain would sign off on giving them a billion dollars to shoot down a Russian aircraft.
I don't get it. What exactly do they want? Would they prefer another Zionist puppet regime in Syria that's subservient to Israel and the USA? Do they like the taste of Erdogan's cock? Little bit of both?

Russia has backed Syria so Turkey has shot down a Russian Plane. Wonder if the Turks did it as revenge for the Syrians shooting down a Turk air force plane
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_2...rkish_aircraft The turks as we all know are shifty backstabbing bastards like their jew friends. Turkey has been heavily involved from the start. They are using the Syrian war as a way to wipe out Kurds. They also closed their borders to prevent Kurd and Syrians from helping Assad and the Syrian Kurds fighting ISIS while at the same time assisting ISIS by allowing ISIS to use Turkey as a crossing point into and out of Syria for supplies, manpower oil sales etc People keep forgetting the turks and jews have been working together for hundreds of years. Anything the turks do is planned by the jew Last edited by John Adams; November 27th, 2015 at 08:26 AM. |

Everything the West falsely accuses Putin of being is exactly what their ally Erdogan is. Erdogan has all the characteristics of a little man mud. Loud, arrogant, insolent, hot headed, extremely emotional often irrational, and full of complexes. This inferior man thinks it is his calling in life, and Turkey's destiny, to recreate the Ottoman Empire, and he is trying to do it, with America's blessing.

Most of them don't even live in Russia. A number of people claim that the so called mod (of still unknown nationality after almost 12 years on SF) Poison lives in Miami.

Another retired US general is speaking sense. Let's hope it continues in spite of what we can expect from the neocons who may begin calling them agents of Putin

Putin Right to Accuse Erdogan of Duplicity – British Historian
© AP Photo/ Vadim Ghirda Politics 00:17 28.11.2015 Turkey only pretends to be fighting against ISIL, British historian Michael Burleigh wrote, stressing that the country’s president Erdogan acts like if wanted to weaken the forces that actually combat Islamists. It may seem only at first sight that the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan is involved in the fight against ISIL militants, Michael Burleigh claimed in his article written for Daily Mail. In reality, Turkish forces are conducting airstrikes mainly on positions of only “one army which poses a real threat to ISIS, and has won countless battlefield victories against them,” and it is the Kurdish PKK forces in Syria. In fact, ISIL could be destroyed in a relatively short period of time, if Kurds acted freely without being attacked by the Turkish Air Force “[W]hile Turkey may be a member of NATO — and of the alliance taking on the jihadists — Erdogan seems to be doing almost everything he can to cripple the forces actually fighting ISIS[ISIL],” Burleigh argued. Burleigh went on by explaining that Erdogan treats Kurds as a threat of greater proportions than ISIL due to their objective of founding their own state. Kurds account for roughly one fifth of the population in Turkey and there are also big communities in Iraq and Syria. Moreover, the Turkish leader “loathes” Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, whose positions would strengthen should ISIL military might decrease. So Erdogan turned a blind eye on ISIL militants infiltrating into small Turkish towns with a further goal of transfering foreign militants through those settlements to Syria. He also “ignored” that Turkish smugglers were purchasing oil from ISIL, Burleigh pointed out. The historian also mentioned what he called the “worrying aspect of Erdogan’s consolidation of power,” meaning the continuing transformation of Turkey from a secular to Islamist state. Sitting in the Istanbul mayor’s chair, Erdogan was imprisoned in 1997 for his links to radical circles. And as Burleigh pointed out, he never forgot that experience. While serving as the country’s Prime Minister, Erdogan got his “revenge” in 2012, putting in jail 324 officers. He has also cut funding to the only force that could get in the way of spreading Islamization across Turkey – the army – by 30 percent. The alarming fact, according to Burleigh, is that a younger generation of Turks, including members of Erdogan’s party, tends to be more sympathetic with ISIL. And there are some fresh instances of this turnaround: in the aftermath of the Paris attacks, Turkish football fans during the match between Turkey and Greece disturbed the minute of silence devoted to the extremists’ victims, chanting “Allahu Akbar.” Statistical data shows that seven percent of Turks don’t think that ISIL militants are terrorists and some 15 percent claim that the radical group doesn’t pose a threat to Turkey. “That’s why, too, Vladimir Putin is at least partly right to accuse him [president Erdogan] of duplicity in his fight against ISIS [ISIL]. Erdogan may want to join the EU, but he’s only a fair-weather friend of the West,” Burleigh concluded http://sputniknews.com/politics/2015...#ixzz3skshKpL4

![]() Turkey: Wrong Partner to Fight Terror In Erdogan's usual Sunni supremacist language, he accused the victims of jihad rather than the jihadists. "New tragedies will be inevitable," Erdogan said, "if the rising racism in Europe and other countries is not stopped." Yet Erdogan willingly ignores the rising racism, xenophobia, and anti-western, jihadist sentiments that increasingly command the hearts and minds of his fellow Turks. How should Erdogan fight Islamic terror -- something he does not believe exists? One of Erdogan's famous remarks is, "there is no Islamic terror." But he thinks that "just like fascism," Zionism is a crime against humanity. It is so funny that the free world cannot see that its ally in fighting the jihadists is another jihadist.
