The Zoglodytes are permanent members of the most powerful military organisation on earth, with a budget of hundreds of billions, over a million members, an air force, navy, army and many supporting structures, and amongst the best equipped soldiers there have ever been.
Add to that the US wages total spectrum war, so also launches diplomatic attacks, legal, sanctions, boycotts etc.

They know better in SA, such training should be oriented towards policing in urban areas, SWAT type training, than military, particularly as most live in towns and cities, not the countryside.

I would recommend if they stay that they start by relocating to a sustainable living area, and relocate to the western cape, at 129 000 sq kms roughly the size of Louisiana, larger than about 20 of the US states.

I had a Rambo knife years ago. I sold it and bought a real knife. Knives with saw tooth spine are about useless. A good knife has a sharp 90 degree spine that adds two extra edge surfaces for light work like making wood shavings, striking a ferro rod or fleshing a hide. Don't waist your money on knives that are not full tang as the Rambo knife is not, but it is a hollow and weaker handle. You will get more user options from a knife that is designed simple. Seems I remember the Rambo knife also has a Hollow grind on the edge, making it fragile to breaking, chipping and constant edge maintenance. I would never use a stainless steel knife (like the Rambo knife) for a survival situation.
