[RT] Massive American troop build-up in Israel: War with Iran on the horizon?
President Obama announced today that funding for the military will be cut back, but at the same time the US has sent thousands of US troops to Israel. The two countries are doing a joint exercise called "Austere Challenge 12." The exercise is meant to develop defense systems and collaboration between American and Israeli forces. US officials have denied this is in retaliation to Iran's war games and allege this was planned way in advance. Jamal Abdi, policy director for the National Iranian American Council, gives us his take on this US troop deployment.

Would US back Israel to attack Iran
US President Barack Obama has stepped up pressure on Iran over its nuclear ambitions by signing an executive order to implement sanctions passed by Congress late last year.
Amid speculation that Israel could be preparing a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, some have wondered whether Washington would also support military action by its ally.
But Leon Panetta, the US defense secretary, has said that attacking Iran would be "a conflict that we would regret", only serving to delay Iran's abilities to develop nuclear weapons, making the US a target for Iranian retribution and having dire economic consequences for the US and Europe.

USA says Israel can start war with Iran
Republicans in the House of Representatives have introduced a measure that would green-light an Israeli bombing campaign against Iran. The resolution, H.Res. 1553, provides explicit support for military strikes against Iran, stating that Congress supports Israel's use of "all means necessary" against Iran "including the use of military force". US military leaders have warned that strikes could be catastrophic to US national security interests and could engulf the Middle East in a "calamitous" regional war.
Nearly a third of House Republicans have signed onto the resolution, which has been publicly discussed and circulated by its lead sponsor, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), for months.

US and Israel 'used cyberattacks' on Iran
United States media are reporting that Washington has been collaborating with Israel to launch cyberattacks that targeted Iran's nuclear programme.
In a report by the New York Times, anonymous US officials confirmed that the National Security Agency, with the help of Israeli experts, may have taken out nearly 1,000 of Iran's 5,000 centrifuges with a sophisticated cyber programme.
