US and Israel 'used cyberattacks' on Iran
United States media are reporting that Washington has been collaborating with Israel to launch cyberattacks that targeted Iran's nuclear programme.
In a report by the New York Times, anonymous US officials confirmed that the National Security Agency, with the help of Israeli experts, may have taken out nearly 1,000 of Iran's 5,000 centrifuges with a sophisticated cyber programme.
Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett reports from Washington.

'Accusing Iran of 9/11 echoes Iraq scenario'
On Thursday, families of victims of the September 11th 2001 attacks won a default judgment against Iran, the Taliban, Al-Qaeda and Lebanon-based Hezbollah. According to the lawsuit, people in Iran -- including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei- provided support to the terrorists who went on to attack civilians on US soil. But analysts say it's nothing but a cover-up, with Iran as a convenient fall guy.
Jamal Abdi from the National Iranian American Council tells RT that there is a campaign going on "to ratchet up pressure for yet another US attack on a Middle Eastern country."

Israeli attack on USS Liberty

The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a U.S. Navy intelligence ship, USS Liberty, in international waters about 12.5 nautical miles (23 km) from the coast of the Sinai Peninsula, north of El Arish, by Israeli fighter planes and torpedo boats on June 8, 1967.
It occurred during the Six-Day War, a conflict between Israel and the Arab states of Egypt, Jordan and Syria. The Israeli attack killed 34 U.S. servicemen and wounded at least 173. The attack was the second deadliest against a U.S. Naval vessel since the end of World War II, surpassed only by the Iraqi Exocet missile attack on the USS Stark on May 17, 1987, and marked the single greatest loss of life by the U.S. Intelligence Community.
