1938 NAZI GERMANY - Trip to Nazi Germany & Adolf Hitler Speech in Color 3275
In 1938 Theodore Andrica, the Nationalities Editor of the Cleveland Press and author of the "Around the World in Cleveland" column, paid a visit to Nazi Germany. As part of his journey he shot this astonishing film which shows what appears to be the pastoral German state, but was actually a nation on the brink of war. Unlike many of the films from this era which have been colorized, Andrica actually shot this motion picture on Kodachrome stock. Although the material is silent the footage is astonishing, and includes no less personage than Adolf Hitler in its closing sequence. Rarely seen, this material was once thought to be lost. This print was recently rediscovered and preserved in HD.

Germany moves to ban 'neo-Nazis'
Germany appears to have moved a step closer to banning its far-right 'neo-Nazi' party.
Despite a protest from the group's supporters, interior ministers from Germany's 16 regional states recommended pursuing a ban of the NPD on Wednesday. Germany's Federal Interior minister Hans-Peter Friedrich also voted in favour of the move at the gathering in the Baltic resort of Warnemunde.
Banning political parties is legally complicated in Germany and must go to the constitutional court.
But calls to outlaw the NPD, which authorities say is inspired by Hitler, have grown since last year's discovery that a neo-Nazi cell waged a racist killing spree of foreigners over nearly a decade.

Germany Charges Rabbi David Goldberg over Circumcisions after Cologne Ruling: Yona Metzger Visits
Criminal charges for bodily harm have been filed against a rabbi in Germany for carrying out circumcisions. Rabbi David Goldberg, who is a mohel in the 400-strong Jewish community of Hof in Bayern, has been charged according to a July ruling by a court in Cologne banning circumcision on religious grounds. The ban was introduced after a four year old Muslim boy was returned to hospital with bleeding following circumcision. The news of charges against the rabbi, brought by a doctor in Hessen, has caused outrage and shock among Jewish groups in Germany and internationally. The vice President of the World Jewish Congress has said there was an urgent need to create legal certainty over the matter.
