The 2014 Cross Examination Debate Association's national championship was held at Indiana University. The all African American female team from Towson University defeated the all African American male team from the University of Oklahoma. Though this may be a first for African American women, it is not a real win for women or African Americans, but a loss for collegiate debate specifically and America in general. I am not sure what the winners won, but it certainly wasn't a debate. However, to be fair to the participants, the quality of collegiate debate began to deteriorate long before 2014. 6 Blacks "Knockout Game" Leaves 70 Year Old White Stranger In Hospital
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A 70-year-old man was seriously injured early Saturday morning after being attacked outside of a 7-Eleven in Syracuse.
Police say James Gifford had just left the store at the intersection of Valley Drive and South Street just after 6:00 a.m. and was attacked by a group of five or six black males, according to Syracuse Police.
Police also said this appears to be an unprovoked incident with an innocent victim.

ANC councillors in NMBM laid charges following council meeting brawl
Two ANC councillors in the Nelson Mandela Bay metro have laid criminal charges after yesterday's violent brawl during a closed sitting of the council. The chief-whip of the DA in council has also laid a charge with the police after he was allegedly stabbed with a sharp object. DA councillor, Rano Kayser was treated for head and ear wounds after being allegedly hit with a glass water jug while ANC councillor, Rosie Daaminds, collapsed during the fracas. Both have been discharged from hospital.
